National Journal poll of October finds a likely voter tie between Obama and Romney, but a five point registered voter advantage for Obama.

The coat-tails are likely long and maybe even in the reverse direction. In a year when empty chairs are in fashion, anyone recalls, only three years ago, that another famous actor, David Carradine, was actually reported at first to have jumped off one--fit to be tied(?)--for example(?)!

So the preference is for a Democratic Senate and Democratic House, and apparently Carradine did not create a suicide attempt:

"The poll also asked voters which party they would prefer to control the Congress. Democrats were favored there. A slim plurality of likely voters said they preferred that Democrats win enough seats to control the House and keep hold of the Senate, a positive sign for the party five weeks out from the election."

So apparently the election is looking sexy and juicy after all!
