And perhaps you think that a Posse wouldn't be made up of people equally as possible of abusing any power they have as any police officer. Personally, I imagine there is a reason we no longer have things we had in the past, and while sure nothing we have today works perfectly... I somehow doubt anything we had before it worked perfectly either.
