Former Vice President Mike Pence came out swinging at former President Trump following his indictment on charges related to Jan. 6 and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Pence is saying in so many words that Trump has no right to free speech, namely any "speeches" he made that indicated he believed the election was stolen in 2020! Millions of Americans said the same thing but...

You should have seen Trump's attorney on Fox last night. He was excellent--as well as every single guest they had on last night.

There was mention of the Alvarez case in which a politician DID actually lie (Trump did not) but the SCOTUS said he could not be prosecuted for it... not sure exactly why but the guy was running for office and said something about military decorations or something. In any case, this shows just how utterly STUPID this last indictment is... because the persecutor Smith should have known about Alvarez. He's supposed to be an attorney!

Encouraging an insurrection by lying about a "stolen" election isn't protected by the 1st Amendment....just like if you (like some other poster) threatened the life of Pence on this forum....isn't protected by the 1st Amendment.
