"Conservatives" Fucking Up The GOP

In other words, the extreme right wing people are the true RINOs (Republican In name only) of the GOP?!?! Lose the avatar, Jesus can;t help intelligence like yours!

And I see you also have a "cat" avatar. Now at first glance it doesn't fit the typical mode for this site that all the idiots have a cat as their avatar. Usually it's a house cat avatar that is a signal that the person is probably an idiot but a Tiger is indeed a cat, just a really big one...so....well you do the math.

I see you follow communist alinski; attack the person and not the issue. Jesus would be ashamed to be your avatar

According to Madeline, having "conservative" views = being a "loon"

If there is a more obvious partisan hack giveaway I've not seen it.

It would appear that the democrats are trying to take a page from the republican playbook and turn 'conservative' into a type of slur, similar to what the republicans did to 'liberal' for the better part of 2+ decades. I predict they fail.

^End of List.

:)

peace...

Awww, I thought we were commenting on each others avatars. No? There goes that hypocrisy thing again......way to reinforce the perception. :clap2:

I'd think the lefties-Commies-Liberals should be MORE concerned with their Democrat party. I mean they are the ones who got a HISTORICAL ass kicking this last election.

Instead they be worried about the Gop. and NOW they are worried about draining the SWAMP.. how funny.

Ass kicking means nothing. If you'll recall, the election before last saw the Dems kicking the Reps ass. Ass kicking swings back and forth due to the latest ass kicker thinking he has a mandate to over reach.

Dear Conservative Americans,

The years have not been kind to you. I grew up in a profoundly Republican home, so I can remember when you wore a very different face than the one we see now. You've lost me and you've lost most of America. Because I believe having responsible choices is important to democracy, I'd like to give you some advice and an invitation.

First, the invitation: Come back to us.

Now the advice. You're going to have to come up with a platform that isn't built on a foundation of cowardice: fear of people with colors, religions, cultures and sex lives that differ from your own; fear of reform in banking, health care, energy; fantasy fears of America being transformed into an Islamic nation, into social/commun/fasc-ism, into a disarmed populace put in internment camps; and more. But you have work to do even before you take on that task.

Your party -- the GOP -- and the conservative end of the American political spectrum have become irresponsible and irrational. Worse, it's tolerating, promoting and celebrating prejudice and hatred. Let me provide some examples -- by no means an exhaustive list -- of where the Right as gotten itself stuck in a swamp of hypocrisy, hyperbole, historical inaccuracy and hatred.

If you're going to regain your stature as a party of rational, responsible people, you'll have to start by draining this swamp.

Wonderful piece by "American Dad" as to the hijacking of the GOP by the loons. Please read the entire thing.

Good article, thanks for posting! Hypocrisy is rampant with the extreme right who's unfortunately dominated the GOP lately. Many of the right-wing on this site make up those people but luckily they are not the majority, just the loudest. They are the true RINOs in the republican party.

Looking through the responses I'm seeing a whole lot of attacking the source and the OP. Not surprising in the least bit.

The extreme rightwing in the Republitard Party are the true RINOS, they claim to be Christian but support the bloodsuckers of the middle class, they claim to embrace personal liberty yet try to dictate who should marry whom and who should/should not have children, they're the modern day Pharisees, the same type of people that Christ denounced in the scriptures. They desire the praise of men for their words and divisive rhetoric, not their actions.

I can't imagine anyone would be dumb enough to buy what you're selling here Maddie.

S'true, mani. I dun recall EVER being overrun by corporatists and racists as the GOP is now....it is forcing people like me to choose between hate and over-spending.

The Far Right aka Religious Right aka Koch Brothers regime is not palatable to me, nor to the maintsream GOP voter. You will see a backlash in 2012 since the "jobs, jobs, jobs" agenda never came to pass -- but there's plenty of time to attack women's rights.

That's how the good cop/bad cop game is played, though isn't it?

Point of fact both parties both corrupted by the electorial process we allowed to develop.

DEbating which is better or worse is mostly like having a serious debate about whether we like COKE or PEPSI better.

They ARE slightly different but both of them is basically nothing but pleasant tasting poison

I said before and I'll say it again, Republitards and Democrats belong to the same part but exist at opposite ends.

Well, you're not looking very hard. According to the article you're "extreme right" if you don't think government needs to be more involved in energy, healthcare and banking. I don't even think you're "right" at all if you think that. Then again, there were a bunch of non-specific ad hominem attacks on Republicans, not addressing that was "hypocrisy?" The "reality" is the only way the Right has moved Right is by not moving Left as fast as the Left has.

So, I challenge you. Here are ways the "right" has moved left. Just under W, just a few of the things the Republicans did were to grow government spending by every economic indicator (GDP growth, inflation, ...), added prescription drug to Social Security, signed campaign finance reform that regulated political speech, increased social security taxes, signed budgets with massive earmarks and awarded citizenship to criminals who entered this country illegally.

Now your turn, how have the Republicans moved to the "right?" Be specific.

You call that moving left, I call that being a hypocrite just like I said and is outlined in the article. Thanks for agreeing though!
The article didn't make a specific point to respond to, it just made sweeping statements and sanctimonious attacks. You didn't have that in common with it.

So to pick one, let's focus on your accusation of "hypocrisy." When Republicans don't advocate more government control over energy, banking and health care, that is hypocrisy because...

For one thing, watching American Dad says a lot about the psycho left. Another thing "Conservative" is better than being Republican. It is not fear of race or sexual preference, that is a big lefty lie. It is knowing right from wrong. Us conservatives just happen to have morals and integrity, unlike you liberals.

So I take it that you didn't actually bother reading the article then? Because if you had, you would have read the following

"Let me provide some examples of where the Right as gotten itself stuck in a swamp of hypocrisy, hyperbole, historical inaccuracy and hatred."

The article does in fact make a specific point and then proceeds to give VERY specific examples to support this statement but how would you know that if you didn't read the article.

It's weird you keep making comments about this article without even reading it. Well done.

Hey you know how it is...sometime the fascist wing of the GOP is in favor with he public and, sometimes it isn't.

Now one of the TP guys is governor of Maine.

He's already shown us his brownshirt bono fides, too.

He's a big fan of for profit prisons, eliminating regulations, giving huge grants to private industries to move to Maine.

He is a classic corporatist..AKA, according to Benito Mussolini founder of modern Fascism, corporatism is the more precise of FASCISM.
Idiot!! Corporatism is better than socialism. Fascism fits the left better than the right, you lefties keep think hitler was far right, he was far left.

It's weird you keep making comments about this article without even reading it. Well done.
To a liberal to read an anti-Republican statement is to agree with it. To me it's not, I require a rational argument. I do think many Republicans are hypocrites. But it's mostly for their claims of believing in small government while this article is based on a conservative who's a hard wing leftist and hates them and clearly always did. It's a big stupid liberal trick. Write an article or call Rush Limbaugh claiming to be a lifetime Republican who's leaving the party because they aren't liberals.

The statements of hypocrisy here were the Republicans are hypocrites because of a combination of completely skewed statements misrepresented the positions, blowing some quote out of context and comparing it to a policy position or just complete fantasy and mental masturbation.

So, I'll lower the bar for you as far as I can. I say his whole argument is

- Not conservative
- Proves no hypocrisy

And you can pick any point you want to prove me wrong. Or you can just go with I didn't read the article because I don't think a liberal diatribe proves the Republicans are hypocrites because they aren't liberals, all you've accomplished so far.

So you didn't read the article, because if you had then would know that they are being called hypcorites not because they have liberals ideals but because they contradict themselves by saying one thing and doing another. The very definition of a hypocrite.

You disagree with the article....fine, but tell us which specific items in the article are wrong, that you disagree with. But that is going to require you to actually read the article, I'm sorry.

That's right! Because the only thing that matters is profits and all else be damned.

Right, you made a claim, I challenged it, and you think I need to then disprove your claim rather then you supporting it. You said you agreed with his article. I am saying none of the points proved hypocrisy and none of his arguments were conservative. I lowered the bar for you to just pick one point, the strongest point you think he makes supporting the contention he is actually a conservative and he actually establishes hypocrisy. What you give me is to read it is to prove you correct. I can't lower the bar for you any more. Prove me wrong by picking one point you think you can actually defend and stop being so lazy to just say well, if you don't know I'm right you didn't read it. If that's true, it should be easy, even for a liberal.

LOL, wow you're lazy. The article lays out multiple points of hypocrisy that I agree with. Why should I have to pick one for you, when you challenged the article without citing anything specific in the article? Since you find so much wrong with what the article says, why don't you tell us which parts you disagree with? No, you'd rather have me tell you which part you don't like? :cuckoo: The ball is in your court chief, not mine. I have no problems with the article...you do, now tell us specifically why.

Right, when you make a statement, it's not for you to support it, it's for others to prove you wrong. I'm sure you accept that from others, they can say whatever they want and not support it. That right is reserved for you.

That article was really written by Megan McCain. Sounded just like her.

And I won't be talked down do by some little twit or some so called American daddy.

My statement was that I agreed with the article. What would you like from me now? Evidence that I agree? The support for my viewpoint is the article itself. If you have a problem with the article, tell us specifically which parts you didnt like. It's not that difficult (but maybe it is for you) of a concept.

Another wingnut that doesn't know US political history. The GOP win in 2010 was large, but not historic. There has been changes in congress larger than this one.

Great letter! But as usual, it bounced off deaf ears. I just don't think they get it. Also, it's because of the hypocrisy, that the GOP hasn't a clue what to do when it gets power. So all they do is try to punich democratic voters who didn't vote for them. And the rank and file on the right march along in lockstep like the good little sheep they are.
