Consequences of R senate

Those votes include the Paul Ryan budget with its huge cuts to safety-net programs and fundamental changes to Medicare. It includes a bevy of limits on access to abortion and birth control, harsh and punitive measures aimed at immigrants and lower-income people who get public assistance, and repeated attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act in its entirety. And it includes a whole lot of ideological grandstanding, including, most recently, the attempt to sue the President. Thanks to the need to negotiate with a Democratic Senate, the House Republicans’ worst impulses are constrained, at the moment.

Fortunately none of the above nonsense and insanity will come to pass; but it does illustrate well the bizarre and warped priorities of Congressional republicans.

So that means that Harry Reid can not block any more bills from the house from being voted on?

And the far left Obama will be finally shown to be the do nothing president he is?

that's been explained already, pay attention .. the majority of those bills are in committee. Do you have ANY idea what that means ? No, of course you don't.

Next.
Please tell Me you aren't really that stupid......

You of course meant a return to rational governance, right?

Not that I expect a GOP Senate to be any better than a Democrat Senate....

What we will see, however, is a lone man obstructing the work of the People.

The Consequences Of An All-Too-Likely Republican Senate

...

We don’t need to jump to any big conclusions to say what a Republican Senate would do. We just need to look to the other side of the Capitol, where Republican control of the House provides a model.

Any hypothetical GOP Senate majority would include multiple current GOP House members. Rep. Steve Daines is running for a Democratic Senate seat in Montana, as are Reps. Shelley Moore Capito in West Virginia, Tom Cotton in Arkansas, Bill Cassidy in Louisiana, and Cory Gardner in Colorado. These represent five of the six pickups the Republicans need to win the majority, and they’re all polling close to or ahead of Democratic opponents.

So you don’t need to speculate about what their legislative priorities would look like. We’ve seen their votes.

A case study for what bigger Republican legislative majorities are likely to do comes out of North Carolina, where Thom Tillis, the Speaker of the state House, is in a very close race against Sen. Kay Hagan. There, unified Republican control resulted in policies that massively redistribute power from poorer to richer, including unemployment insurance cuts, restrictions on voting rights, and a shift in the tax burden from income to sales taxes. Other Republican state legislatures, including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Kansas, have used the power they emerged with after 2010 to pursue ideological pet projects.

Needless to say, if you hate your country and if you are very wealthy, you should definitely vote Republican. If you are an Obama-hating Pootarian, vote Republican.

But if you are in favor of the incredible things President Obama has accomplished, in spite of the Do Nothings on the right, stay away from the damn Republicans.

In case you're not sure, contrast the record of the R votes to Obama's record:

Just remember, they said they wanted to bring this country down and there is no reason to think they have changed that goal.

"The incredible things Obama has accomplished"? Aside from blaming Bush the Obama supporters seem rather reluctant to brag about "incredible things". The middle class income has gone down about 6% in the last five years. The cost of fuel oil and diesel fuel has more than doubled not to mention gasoline. Do the Hussein supporters still think the average person should shell out 60k for an electric car and hope that they recoup their investment before they die? Every federally supported solar industry has failed to the tune of several billion dollars. The hypocrite radical environmental left is silent about gigantic windmills killing eagles and other flying critters while the Hussein administration is giving a 30 year extension on killing endangered species. The ironically named "affordable care act" is nothing but a scam and US foreign policy is so incoherent that it defies explanation.

"Nothing we can point to that's been very successful." Former Obama under secretary of State on Obama's foreign policy achievmeents.

I can only hope that we will have a Republican House and Senate next January.. Followed by a Conservative President.

A President who will rescind most of Obama's EOs, a President who will deport illegals, a President who will protect our borders, a President who will actually Govern by the Constitution as it is written, not as they wish it were.

just what this country needs....one party rule.....and i got news for you....i dont give a dam who the President is....any illegal who has been here for a length of time aint going no where.....havent you folks figured that out by now?....

LOL, W ruined the country, Obama then saved it. With the same policies that W had. You're talking at most shades of grey, it's hysterical that to you the same things followed by D and R are good and evil. That, is the textbook definition of "partisan."

Luddy a little Partisan?.....but he hides it so well.....

ROFLMAO Liberals already panicking.. I LOVE IT

You leftist creeps did this.. NO ONE ELSE.. Americans pretty much despise your entire agenda and with good reason.. IT'S INSANE.

The Original Post does read very much like PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!

These Loons fear that Jeffersonians are about to take this country back from neo-Marxists, who have had control...because they best learned the art of borrowing money from their own children and grandchildren...to buy votes now.

Barak Obama will have borrowed 10 trillion dollars...buying votes...trying to create a 51 percent bunch of Marxists sucking off the Federal Government Tit. And it looks like his gambit is going to fail...because of incompetency, and misgovernment, and malfeasance, and lies, and more lies, and still more lies....compounded by laziness and, again, rank incompetence.

You can't teach a Left Wing Loon anything at all. Anybody who has read this board knows that.

But you can watch them squirm...and its O.K. to enjoy it some. They nearly took this country down.

More from the crazy lefties...
Obama can't move the country forward because he's blocked at every turn by the racist white GOP
Then a second later...Obama has accomplished more then any President in American History more then any leader on this planet and any other in the universe...

Too funny.

Only if you're not paying attention.

He may end up being Minority Leader. I wouldn't be surprised if he decides against running for reelection in 2016 if the Democrats lose the Senate this year. That gives a wide open door for Governor Sandoval to run for the seat.

When the Democrats lose the Senate in November this sorry piece of human garbage, known as obstructionist Harry Reid, will be a leader of nothing and nobody.

a piece of molded cheese could have beat Reid and kept him out of the Senate ... and then the Right elected a Tea Party dope and ran against him ... naturally, Reid won.

TFF.

a piece of molded cheese with a retarded rat chewing on it could have beat Obama....and once again the Republicans scraped the bottom of the barrel for their guy....

Every single one of these is a Lie...a Bald Faced Lie...with the possible exception of No. 9 Double the Prison Population. If we Conservatives could double it with the criminals in the Federal Bureaucracy...like Lois Lerner...then that one has a semblance of verity.

But that's just an accident. The rest is all Lie...piss poor propaganda is what it is. This Board is too smart to buy the crap you Loons put up. We are not the general population whose ignorance Obama imposes on with such metronomic regularity.

Republicans are gonna' kill everyone. Blood will flow in the streets.

Dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!
