I was listening to Caroline Glick today. She suggested that there must be a consequence to Hamas for provoking this war, and asserted that since Hamas does not value human life, the consequence must be something else. She suggests the cost should be land, as it is something that Hamas understands and will see as a concrete and evidentiary loss.

This proposed consequence addresses the "you are only creating more martyrs" problem to a certain extent. It also feeds into the "Israel just wants to steal land" narrative which is low-hanging fruit but one that I suspect some will latch on to.

Still, I am finding myself agreeing. Anyone care to talk me out of it?

Is that another 'take Gaza without the Gazans' narrative? If the US wants finance and take part in another Middle Eastern war, why not?
