Congress Moves To Ban Child Sex Dolls

Yeah...this is a no brainer. Good name for the bill though, CREEPER Act

Report: Congress Moves to Ban Child Sex Dolls

Congress is moving to ban child sex dolls in the United States, following in the footsteps of other countries which have outlawed their importation.

In an email to the Weekly Standard, Rep. Dan Donovan (R-NY) declared, “When I saw articles on the issues of child sex dolls abroad, I knew I had to act immediately to stop the proliferation of them within the United States.”

As reported by the Weekly Standard, Donovan “has proposed the Curbing Realistic Exploitative Electronic Pedophilic Robots (CREEPER) Act to ban their import and make possession of them illegal,” citing his career of “locking up pedophiles.”

“Every case has stayed with me — there is no situation where a child was hurt or victimized that doesn’t leave your thoughts,” Donovan proclaimed, adding, “I will do everything possible to stop crimes against children.”

Dear SassyIrishLass
Why not use these products as bait to get sick people into therapy?
In order to get one, they could be allowed within therapy programs
where participants are safely detained and supervised,
screened and treated for whatever disorders or addictions they have.

Detox programs issue regulated amounts of drugs while treating patients.

Why not treat these pedophile addictions like other diseases,
and set up safe treatment and supervised programs to
keep both the patients and the public safe from dangerous threats?

First they close Toys R' Us. Now they ban child sex dolls. How am I supposed to get off now?
How do you tell which dolls are children and which are adults? Okay.... some will be obvious. But some will not be so obvious.

Google it....it's obvious. I'm not linking it
So a sex doll is made to look 18ish. Some 18 year old real people look like they could be 14 year olds. Some 18 year old real people look like they could be 25 year olds. If it's not obvious with real people, how can it be obvious with a doll? It's obvious it the doll looks like a small child.

Uhm these dolls look like 6ish and 7ish......
That falls into the small child category, like I said. As the dolls are made to look older, there will be a grey area? Who will decide? Real people have birthdays to determine age. Dolls don't

I am not saying I disapprove of the law. I'm just saying............

Actually there is an article online about that, pros and cons with the biggest con being it may lead a pedo to actually snatching a real child.

I agree, but we are starting to get into that grey area. Lots of real 18 year old women are not that curvy......could pass for much younger. Who decides when a doll looks too young. As I said, some are obvious. Some will not be so obvious.

These dolls look like children and they are marketed as such.

I get your point but they don't look 18

If a law is passed, it will not apply only to those specific dolls.... will it?

Taking degeneracy and perversion to a new level, child sex dolls.

IMHO there is no reason why roaming Death Squads shouldn't be on the streets rounding up and shooting paedophiles, many paedophiles are already on Sex Offenders Registers, so it would be very easy for roaming Death Squads to get the wastes of human skin.

Dear Lucy Hamilton I agree with you to keep the public safe and
nobody with a deadly dangerous disease should be free to put others at risk.

However, killing people off never cured leprosy, or prevent HIV/AIDS from spreading.
In the case of Ebola, even the dead had to be contained safely to prevent the spread.

Dangerous diseases have causes and cures.
If we are going to take this seriously, we need to set up safe effective treatment
programs that get dangerous people off the streets. Scaring them into hiding
only makes it worse and worse. The Trafficking crimes fueled by demands of
drug and sex addictions is overburdening our law enforcement and prisons
which taxpayers can't keep paying for. We need to invest in the medical
solutions for uniform diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure similar to Ebola
where govt can contain sick people for public safety and security, without
criminalizing them, the medical conditions alone are reason enough. We need
to be able to diagnose the stages and degrees, similar to stages of cancer and remission.

That approach of medical diagnosis and treatment can still require detention
especially if people are incureable, chronic or terminal. If we wait until people
commit crimes, then that requires criminal process. If we treat these as deadly
diseases, then it's a public health and safety issue, and any district can enact
its own ordinances and systems for dealing with private domains and what
their rules are. So if all neighborhoods or civic associations, business or
school districts within a city adopt the same "health and safety ordinance"
requiring in depth screening for mental disorders, addiction or abusive
behavior and/or counseling/detention until these conditions are cured
and proven medically to be safe and "not hazardous" (similar to OSHA
rules on hazardous exposure and cleanup procedures) then we can
effectively and safely "decriminalize" medical and mental disorders
and just treat them neutrally as other forms of deadly diseases, virus or bacteria
like the Ebola virus which is a level 4 biohazardous pathogen invoking hazmat
level regulations to contain it.

the medical research on spiritual methods for diagnosing and process
for curing the CAUSES of dangerous addictions and disorders "in phases"
can be quantified to follow measurable steps, so it is scientifically proven
treatement and doesn't require criminalizing anyone to authorize medical intervention
to save lives and protect public health and safety.

That's the more streamlined approach I recommend
instead of stigmatizing and criminalizing sickness that
forces people to hide it instead of getting treatment as with Ebola and AIDS
that are too dangerous if people hide these and refuse to work with doctors and authorities.

And why stop at dolls JoeMoma
What about the anime cartoons that have young kids getting intimate.

Why not go after the criminals, and treat the sickness to reduce the demand.
Just banning the external products isn't addressing the real cause of the
disorders and dangers to children and society, but distracting from that.

Supreme Court Strikes Down Ban On 'Virtual' Child Pornography

Supreme Court Strikes Down Ban On 'Virtual' Child Pornography
WASHINGTON -- In a strong defense of the First Amendment, the Supreme Court struck down a law banning "virtual" child pornography, which uses explicit images -- often computer-generated -- that appear to depict children engaged in sexual acts.

In a 6-3 decision, the court said that the statute was "overbroad and unconstitutional," citing language that bars any depiction that "appears to be" of a minor engaged in sexual conduct, or that conveys that impression. Congress had said the prohibitions were needed because pedophiles might use such material to either whet their appetites or entice children into sexual acts.

But, writing for the court's majority, Justice Anthony Kennedy said, "The mere tendency of speech to encourage unlawful acts is not a sufficient reason for banning it."

The 1996 Child Pornography Protection Act was passed out of concern that pornography laws hadn't kept pace with computer technology that its sponsors said had "opened the door to new means of producing a virtually limitless variety and quantity of high-quality child pornography."

In 1982, the high court ruled that child pornography isn't protected by the First Amendment because its production involved the actual exploitation of real children. In Tuesday's decision, Justice Kennedy wrote that "These images do not involve, let alone harm, any children in the production process."

I was wondering that too. On the other hand, could ‘using’ the dolls (uggghhhh) cause them to become more frustrated (uggghhh) that they are inanimate and seek out real children?

What creep challenged that? Nothing screams pedophile like I'm suing to see virtual child porn

The point of the law is to protect children.

Animal protect laws makes it illegal for a movie maker to film an actor strangling puppies, or drowning kittens. But they can do it with CGI, because no animals were harm in the making of the movie.

The 1st amendment protects speech you don't like.

I don't like child porn...period. Real or virtual and if someone is watching it or defending it then they have a severe problem
