The Park Service is active on FB and other sites to keep folks up to speed on what is happening in their parks. Not tweeting? Okay for a weekend, but it would be a real blow to public outreach. Probably they use it to communicate to visitors within the park, as well.

I thought government employees were supposed to keep certain opinions to themselves. Military people cannot openly support candidates.

Even private citizens are fired from jobs all the time for posting stuff on social media that their bosses don't like.

The photos of the inauguration that were posted everywhere were designed to humiliate Trump by claiming the crowd was smaller than it was. The pics were taken early, before all the people had arrived. It was fake news.
