“Being a Progressive means never having to say you’re sorry,” says Jeff Deist. That private-property hating Bernie Sanders is a former(?) follower of the genocidal mass-murdering Lenin and Trotsky is OK

, Sanders said more than 25 years ago, while first running for Congress as the Cold War waned: “I am a socialist and everyone knows that . . .

But it doesn't matter, stupid parasitic Americans looking for freebies, a free lunch and something for nothing will drive the country into a Somalian or Greek nightmare.

.

I guess to those who don't know anything a word can be frightening.

This is definitely the direction in which we appear to be going.

What does the GOP plan to do about it, precisely?

.

In 1935 fascist president FDR created the welfare state = government BUY the people .

He found out that by using the US treasury to buy votes he became easily re electable - he was elected four times..

With that kind of precedent plus American stupidity in order for any one to be considered electable he must NOT be a threat to the welfare/warfare police state.

.

He lost me at "I'm going to raise taxes." Fuck him.

What a crock ^^^. Sanders is a counterpoint to Plutocrats, and has worked within the system his entire life. Your examples are an example of hate and fear mongering, the first and last refuge of partisan hacks who lack imagination and honesty.

YOU don't have to yell; lies, hate and fear mongering are easily heard and as easily dismissed when voiced in a normal tone.

I'm not sure I see an answer amongst all that big font.

You reckon .............

Sanders detailed a 12-point economic program to:

* Invest in our crumbling infrastructure with a major program to create jobs by rebuilding roads, bridges, water systems, waste water plants, airports, railroads and schools.

* Transform energy systems away from fossil fuels to create jobs while beginning to reverse global warming and make the planet habitable for future generations.

* Develop new economic models to support workers in the United States instead of giving tax breaks to corporations which ship jobs to low-wage countries overseas.

* Make it easier for workers to join unions and bargain for higher wages and benefits.

* Raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 an hour so no one who works 40 hours a week will live in poverty.

* Provide equal pay for women workers who now make 78 percent of what male counterparts make.

* Reform trade policies that have shuttered more than 60,000 factories and cost more than 4.9 million decent-paying manufacturing jobs.

* Make college affordable and provide affordable child care to restore America’s competitive edge compared to other nations.

* Break up big banks. The six largest banks now have assets equivalent to 61 percent of our gross domestic product, over $9.8 trillion. They underwrite more than half the mortgages in the country and issue more than two-thirds of all credit cards.

* Join the rest of the industrialized world with a Medicare-for-all health care system that provides better care at less cost.

* Expand Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and nutrition programs.

* Reform the tax code based on wage earners’ ability to pay and eliminate loopholes that let profitable corporations stash profits overseas and pay no U.S. federal income taxes.

Go ahead tell me how he is going to accomplish any of this ................

To those fully familiar with tyranny, misery, genocide, food shortages ,etc, a word can be very frightening.

Some people can understand that the tyranny, misery, genocide, food shortages, etc, are common in totalitarian governments that are most often right wing.

The dim among us maybe can't tell the difference between socialism and Soviet style communism.

Bernie's vision is definitely the direction in which we appear to be going.

.
Nothing. They appear to be headed in the same direction, but the Ds and the media must keep us thinking otherwise.

A picture of the last true "good" Communist. And still they wear t-shirts with his ugly mug on the front.

That appears to be the case.

Complaining about it with shallow platitudes certainly won't do it, neither will avoiding mature leadership.

Truth be told, that was kind of what I was figuring.

The Foolish Socialism of Bernie Sanders

Let the presidential candidate have his way and watch the U.S. economy implode.

"He objects to “the dizzying (and socially useless) number of products in the deodorant category. ... (C)utting poverty and inequality is worth a reduction in innovation, and oh by the way, the kinds of things we call ‘innovation’ are often little more than new marketing gimmicks with dubious social value.” And that, friends and neighbors, is why “we should distribute the national income more evenly."

If he walks like Hugo Chavez, talks like Hugo Chavez, ..........

It would be very hard, but very desirable. We live in a Plutocracy, our democratic republic no longer exists. The USSC 5-4 decisions repealing the FEC efforts to get money out of elections was the final nail in its coffin.

Sanders would face the same road blocks which Obama has faced, a power elite unwilling to share America's wealth with the common man, and more than willing to vilify him and her while exploiting their labor.

Seeking a level playing field is not to advocate for Marxist Leninism, as the Crazy Right Wing constantly laments, it is common sense to anyone who has read history, and past time for working men and women who shower after work to get a fair deal.
