It's hard to understand why any rational person would oppose legislation to fix our crumbling bridges, decaying roads and address public transit and broadband. Collins said "The bill is good for America." BTW, Susan Collins is a Republican.

But, and there is a very big but, this win for the country will piss off the twice impeached ex-President Trump and by extension his Cult members. And that's because he was unable to achieve infrastructure improvement when he had the chance. But, then again, his ability to negotiate compromise was practically nil. Of course, all that matters to Trump is Trump; as far as the country goes, he could care less.

It's not when you consider the amount of debt we have taken on, but that aside, if the infrastructure legislation were limited to exactly the things you listed, it would have been passed a while ago. It wasn't. The original version was a debt ridden behemoth laced with pet projects and spending that had no relation to fixing infrastructure, but I'm sure you knew that already. Congress operates as if they have a blank checkbook and people like you give them cover to do it.

Why does everything have to be about Trump?

Granted--but when did "support for home health care aids" become infrastructure? It isn't even called an infrastructure plan (American Jobs Plan). Infrastructure only accounts for 24% of the bill. This is a democrat giveaway program to unions, building two million home? This is the biggest pork program that they've tried so far and they're not done. Maybe it is time to find a tax haven and start sucking off of that democrat tit instead of filling it. How much infrastructure is in Biden's infrastructure plan?

Only about half of it will actually go towards fixing things after everyone from politicians, city planners, to construction companies and everyone in between has taken their piece to put in their pockets. Then it will take years before anything even gets started.
