There are a wide range of collectivist ideologies. Some are Marxists, some are communist, some are Fascist, some are socialists, some are Progressives etc. However, no matter what flavor you prefer the end result is collectivism must be made compulsory for everyone. This is because this world view demands that people stop being individuals and become apart of a living organism known as the collective. Everyone must be apart of the body. However, if the body has an area that is "sick" and does not support the collective, then it must be treated or cut out and tossed away in order to save the body. Those that think the wrong way, act the wrong way, or simply ignore the mastermind that is telling them to "jump" when he yells jump is a threat to the body and must be dealt with.

You might then conclude that the biggest threat to this collective salvation and harmony is individual freedom, and you would be right. People who drive cars to big that burn too much fuel, or who live in houses too big and cost too much to heat and cool, people who drink sodas that are too big or who don't pay enough in taxes or make too much money, etc., are a threat to the body. Make no mistake, this is a global mission. Collectivists throughout history have longed for a one world order. In fact, without this occurring the body will always be "sick". It is therefore the goal of every collectivist, whether they admit to it or not. Individual liberty is the only thing standing in their way.
