With capitalism, recessions are an essential part. It helps get rid of the dead wood.

However there are recessions and RECESSIONS. There are recessions that get of the dead wood, and ones that get rid of everything in their past.

The more you pump the economy, the harder the recession will be. It's called boom and bust. In the 2008 recession 7 million Americans lost their homes. Not because they're deadwood, but because the recession was too large. At the same time some billionaires made a huge fortune.
You can see why billionaires, who control the government, want boom and bust. They make money in the boom times, and then they make more money in the bust times while the average Joe gets absolutely screwed over.

Mostly because of the employment situation right now.

The most damaging part of a recession is normally the high unemployment. Right now across the country there is a shortage or workers, in almost every industry. Due to this companies will not need to trim extra people as they do not for the most part have anyone extra. And those that do get laid off will have more opportunity than normal in a recession.
