I disagree with you TPS. Marc clearly has a brain. And he can understand our points. He just doesn't believe them for whatever reason.

You are right however. Christ was not socialist or marxist. There is absolutely nothing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ about empowering a government to take from one group of people to give to another. There is nothing about outsourcing your responsibilities to the government. There is nothing about giving away the money of others. At least, nothing positive.

The Lord did command us: Thou shalt not Steal. Thou shalt not covet.

The Prophets of the Lord did warn about trusting the government rather than being responsible citizens. And not letting our government leaders lead us to wickedness.

The Lord did tell us that we have agency: Choose this day whom you will serve.

And then He called us to come to Him of our own free will. To turn to Him and leave. To seek and find Him. To ask and recieve. To lead our families to Him.

We are supposed to give ourselves to Him. Our heart, mind, might, and strength.

We are supposed to be a light to the world. We are supposed to lift up the poor. Take care of the widow and the fatherless. We are to take care of our wives and our children. We are supposed to give to the poor, but not to forget the weighter matters of the law.

We are supposed to be one heart. One mind. We are supposed to forgive on another. And work hard. And those who are not working are not to eat.

Never one were we commanded to take from others to give to our politicians so that they can "help" others.

The Lord has created all, and He has given us our free will. It's by offering ourselves up in service to Him of our own choice that we end up doing good and building His Kingdom.

I'm a Christian and i know my Church does so much for the unfortunate. I also help when i can. Your views on Christians are pretty uninformed and a bit ignorant. Maybe you should just take a break from politics for awhile. Try attending Church. It's actually a very uplifting experience. The Left has painted this ugly picture of what all Christians are like and that's very unfortunate. I love my Church and Jesus. They only preach love and compassion. Why pick on Christians? We have about a dozen brushfire wars going on right now and it seems the agnostic left likes it just fine if drone NATO bombs kill civilians, American citizens and selected international thugs as long as a democrat is in office. The fact is that more Christian agencies feed and care for the poor than union thugs, federal employees or poverty pimps ever thought about.
