Christian Conservative Hate Group causes cancellation of Tea Party Rally

The left does label anyone who has a different POV as a hate group. Any voiced opposition to their progressive agenda is labeled as "hate speech" because they want to SHUT DOWN OPPOSITION. They know that if the law accepts someone is using "hate speech" they can prevent them from spreading their view.

It hasn't worked too well for them so far, but in the meantime, the soft-headed actually BELIEVE it and have lost all sense of what freedom means.

I agree. Children shouldn't be sexualized, period. And they don't need blatant sexual imagery thrown in front of them all the time. From what I read on the site, the gripe is with overt sexual imagery and indoctrination. I didn't read everything, but that's what I got. The objection was to cross dressers in the schools and the gay pride parades, which include children.

They're also lobbying against homosexual marriage. The jury is still out on that one. Honestly, I don't have a problem with homosexual marriage, but the minute the state determines it's a violation of civil rights to NOT grant homosexuals marriage, the state will start telling the churches what they must do. That's my only objection to it.

And I know that's what the pro-marriage lobbyists want. Because homosexuals can already find churches and clergy that will marry them in religious ceremonies.

You clearly do not understand civil marriage equality issues. We are talking about civil marriage. It has nothing to do with Churches.

Gay people are not trying to shut down Churches.

Actually, it's all about shutting down churches. You just don't see all the players on the board.

And of course racism and homosexuality have absolutely nothing to do with one another. So there is no context.

Nor have you proved that this speaker was going to talk about his platform for MassResistance. You have no clue what he was going to say. You have no idea what he was invited to say.

Context matters. But I suppose it's convenient to forget about it.

Perception matters as well.

The reason this event was canceled was because a few of the other speakers did not want to be linked to the message of MassResistance. Whether or not Mr. Camenker spoke about homosexuality, you can bet that when this event was concluded, Dahlberg's opponents would have linked him to the message of MassResistance. Others saw things in the same way and decided they were better off not participating in the event. Enough made this decision to cause the event to be canceled.

Just like inter-racial couples could not find every church ready to sanctify their marriage, gay couple will face the same problem. But how many churches today will not sanctify an inter racial marriage? How many churches were "shut down" as a result of inter racial marriage? How has inter racial marriage directly and personally effected you marriage?

Why should we guess that a movement with MassResistance's agenda would have something enlightening to say about the marginal tax rates of people making greater than $250,000?

Seems MassResistance has cut it's own bolt of cloth here and the message is social not fiscal.

Tell that to any politician. I suspect you will be laughed at.

Dahlberg is a politician who wants to win an election... an election in Mass. Being tied to an Anti-gay group could very well spell the end of his career. Whether or not MR is a hate group does not matter. Being tied to that message might very well cost him the election and any further political hopes.

Forgive me, I forget some here don't understand that 'liberal' is now a pejorative for everything wrong with society. The terms "Liberal and 'liberal' have different definitions depending on context.
I am liberal or progressive or forward looking on many issues, but that does not make me ignorant, stupid, a communist, socialist, marxist or un-American, all meanings attached to the word 'liberal' by those on the RW.
I have opinions which are clearly conservative, but not in the sense I understand the meaning of conservative today. Today's 'conservatives' have morphed into a force motivated by the selfish disregard for their fellow human beings, and the plants and animals which share the earth us.
In fact, the term which best suits them today is not conservative, it is reactionary. A radical believe in tradition, a rejection of science which fits not their opinions, and fear of change.
