Yes, I'd say Olbermann is more intelligent than Glenn Beck, but his rants and propaganda are very similar in nature, from the opposite end of the spectrum of course.

I listen to them all from time to time as well. Most in this thread don't do that, they're just spouting off according to their own agenda.

Well... There are several methods to lying.

The one most commonly used by all these talking heads is lying via omission.

When you watch them, they'll tell you all the information that supports their side of the point, but omit the information that may contradict that point.

So, when you say neither Olbermann or Maddow report false information, you are in all probability correct, but if you tell a half truth and use it to support a narrative, then that is, when taken in its totality, a lie.

This same tactic is used by the right-wing people. Glenn Beck takes it to an art form.

If you were to go over Glenn Beck's shows, you probably wouldn't be able to point out a specific piece of false information, but when he puts all his half-truths together in narrative form, he is in fact lying.

The only blatant out-and-out lies I have heard from any of the major talking heads are from Rush Limbaugh, who actually has done things like blame the collapse of the auto industry on Obama.
