Is it dead?
Not at all. Men hold the door for me all the time. (por exemplo)
not at my house and not in my life....open doors all the time....pull out chairs....give up my seat.....still say yes mame and yes sir....i say you are wellcome and thank you instead of no problem.....i even walk on the outside edge of the sidewalk as i was taught....
I suspect as much manu, even on here I can tell you're a gentleman.
Not in my experience. Men in general are nice. Women are becoming moreso.
Yep, I was going to say the same.
I avoid being chivalrous because I don't want to offend feminists
That's what made me think of this thread!
Some young boy, maybe 19 or 20, held the door for me when I was leaving the gym. I go, "Thank you!" and he goes, "You're welcome ma'am!"
I thought to myself, "His mother raised him right!"
thank you....i was rasied by a 'society" mother,a southern grandmother and a southern great grandmother.....there was little choice in the matter.....
There are signs it might be making a comeback. I hope so.
