Two years ago, there was a racist attack on international students in Canberra, resulting in warnings for young Chinese students to reconsider studying in Australia. I think Australia makes a poor alternative to America, where top universities are actually the best in the world (i.e. Harvard, CalTech), while there are only a few top 100 universities in Australia.
