The people of Taiwan seem to disagree with being a portion to be ruled over by China. Then again other island states have felt the same way about being independent and large countries have often ignore the people who actually inhabit the land.
 
If the US government was firm in their belief of One China, why would they sale billions in arms to the Taiwanese government.

I have a few Taiwanese friends and they say they don't feel Chinese...:dunno:
Anyway the Taiwanese goverment sees itself like the "real" China (that's why the official name of that country is Republic of China) :eusa_think:
