Charlie Rose' Journalism Awards

I saw this morning that a couple of universities were "cancelling" journalism awards they had previously given to Charlie Rose.

Either he was a good journalist or he was not. They were awarded based on his work not his hobbies.

Just because he was apparently something of a horndog shouldn't affect that. At least in my opinion.

Tangentially, are "they" going to change the name of all the Martin Luther King Jr., schools, boulevards, and such because he was a serial adulterer? Much worse, and much more hypocritical than what Charlie Rose is accused of.

Didn't think so.

A few weeks ago, Mr. Rose was on top of the world.

1. He had helped to raise the ratings of the CBS "Morning News."
2. He had a widely respected talk show on PBS.

Then a woman opened her mouth.

Today he is a broken man.

Not content, those universities in a cruel and petty move then deprive him of past honors.

Have they no decency?
