If one is going to invoke the Founders as a frame of reference for comparison/ridicule of the modern era, one cannot credibly "toss in" references to what did not exist in the days of the Founders. Does Daniels in his make a cogent case that Revere, were he alive today, be something other than a Democrat, Socialist, Communist, etc? If not, such a reference is hardly credible, to say nothing of insightful.

I can't speak to what Revere himself might think of any of those parties, but it's abundantly clear that his fellow founders despised all parties, which they referred to as "factions.". Accordingly, they'd not register as Democrat, Republican or anything else.
