Hear the words of the Star Goddess, the dust of Whose feet are the hosts of Heaven, whose body encircles the universe:

I Who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters,

I call upon your soul to arise and come unto me.

For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe.

From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return.

Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold, all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals.

Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you.

And you who seek to know Me, know that the seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.

For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am That which is attained at the end of desire.

Beautiful.

Ugh, no. I didn't write it, it was written quite a few years ago by Doreen Valiente, who many consider the mother of modern witchcraft.

To Wiccans, perhaps, but to the vast majority of those who incorporate "witchcraft" into our spiritual/ religious systems?
No

The universe and all its elements are in fact female. Female doesn't necessarily denote a sex in this postulation, but it identifies that which caused the spiritual to manifest itself into the physical realm.

"Adam" was the state of nothingness and "Eve" was the introduction of that singular thing other than "nothingness".

Adam was a static state of pure spirit. That pure spirit, at the moment of self-awareness ("Eve"), released a shit storm of physicality. And thus the universe was born.

From that point on, physics chemistry and biology (the interaction of all things physical) did it's thing for 13.8 billion years.

Which leads us to today.

It fascinates me how a 32 ounce Big Gulp from the 7-11 has its origins in nothingness.
