Interesting study in eight battleground states finds the following changes in registration in eight important states over the period 2008- 2011...

1. Republicans registration has fallen 3.1%

2. Democrat registration has fallen 5.4%

3. Independent registration is up 3.4%

States:
Colorado
Florida
Iowa
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Mexico
North Carolina
Pennsylvania

Independents Day 2012

Seems "the One" has lost lots of folks who actually believed him in '08...

If they are "registering" then they would not have voted for him at all. You only register people who weren't on the rolls to begin with.

That's not entirely true. You fill out the same form if you are changing affiliation.
