There are a number of cases, where parents of children with mental desease like learning disability, request that their child be castrated when reaching puberty, in order to avoid the complications of sexual development. Historically too, a 100 years ago, if a person was like too slow or otherwise mentally impaired, castration was frequently applied to eliminate the problems of sexual development. This was also considered a preferred treatment to prevent the mentally ill from becoming a rapist. Even cases, where the high functioning mentally ill person requested and received his own castration are recorded. What is your opinion about this practice? Shall we bring it back? After all, most sex crimes are linked to mental illness that reduces a person's social abilities.
Let's ignore sociopaths in this context though.

how odd....you think people who have mental defects should be castrated...you are aware that mental issues are treatable and one may recover from them...unlike castrations which is permanent

I always enjoy it when Nazis and advocates of Eugenics poke their heads out from under their rocks. Makes it easier to identify those who should be ridiculed and/or ignored...

Bad idea, it should be left to the days blood letting was thought to be a cure. We have advanced in our culture, our ideas and our morals, no room for eugenics.

yes---you are right-----the history of castration and involuntary sterilization in the USA is really horrific-----but we do not do that anymore
