I am voting for Johnson. But many Dems I know said they were very reassured that TK was the VP pick. Her health may have been failing back then, and she was getting ready in case she had to drop out. The solid majority of American would see TK as the safe pick.

• Wilson had a near fatal stroke and was plagued by heart problems throughout his two terms in office but that did not keep him from leading the country through the 1st World War, campaigning for the League of Nations, establishing the Federal Trade Commission, receiving the Nobel Peace Prize and being one of our more productive presidents.
• Lincoln suffers from small pox, malaria, and endocrine disorders while he was in office leading the nation through the civil war.
• Warren G. Harding suffered from heart problems throughout his president and died in office with a heart attack.
• Dwight Eisenhower not only suffered from a Heart Attack in 1955 but had an abdominal operation in 1956 and a stroke in 1957 and today is one of our most admired presidents.
• John F. Kennedy suffers from almost unendurable pain from a WWII back injury most his presidency but performed his duties as president with very few sick days.
• Franklin D. Roosevelt was not only wheelchair bound throughout his presidency but was ill much of his third term in office in the middle WWII. He ran for his 4th term while he was essential at death's door.
• We have had many other presidents with serious health problems that were able to perform their duties as present.
