So, it seems leftists have big problems with local and state police. You hear the word "defund" or "fucking pigs" a lot. But they seem to support federal police the FBI. I wonder why that is?
Is it because they are mostly Socialists and believe in strong centralized power, and not local power?
:dunno:

My platoon in Korea adopted a stray dog. We named him "Shithead". He was pretty stupid.

Or is it just because they can use the federal LE to go after the people that dont agree with them, like the IRS and FBI?

you may be wrong on all counts, but no, the fbi has been "weaponized against civil rights, anti war, and anti globalist groups since j edgar hoover.

local police have a tough job, which some do better than others. nothing will bring out the "defund the police" faster than a no knock warrant on the wrong house resulting in wrongful death of an innocent senior. you want to defend that kind of police behavior?

You mean like Republicans always rallying behind the police until the FBI investigates the crimes of your cult leader, and now your entire party hates the FBI?

Well there's a history of state police power choosing to support civil rights abuses and a history of the federal government intervening to enforce federal court orders, so I suppose you could say that "leftists" do support strong central authority, to prevent strong local authority from depriving people of their rights under the color of law.

I dont give two shits for LE, at any level of power. I just find it humorous how you weirdos love you some feds and not locals.

that is exactly true. no place is more corrupt than a small city with 1 employer.

Yeah, the feds dont do that, do they?

The gnashing of teeth and rending of garments by the dems will be something to see when the DOJ is gutted like a fish through reduction of force lay-offs come 1/25.

What's the criteria for the layoffs? What percentage of the DOJ workforce would be laid off?

I'm not saying feds don't ever or haven't abused people's civil rights. J. Edgar Hoover abused the shit out of people's rights, but there have been reforms put in place since that era. Generally speaking, they have more oversight, recruit more qualified people, have more resources to train their personnel, and are more directly accountable to public authority than many of the small police departments that end up in the news.
