    That paragon of virtue, bravery, and champion of the environment challenged three big named sceptics to a climate change debate. They agreed to all of his conditions which included NO RECORDING OF THE EXCHANGE and then he chickened out anyways!

    What a loser!

    While I understand it is always more difficult to defend a complex position than to attack one, it seems that the skeptical side usually 'wins' these debates as far as audience opinion goes.
    It would be more useful to have a scientifically literate audience debate the issues but that would involve a respected journal and reasonably open access. Sort of like peer review before it was hijacked. If the case for AGW was so solid as to be considered 'settled science', why isn't there a forum available for both sides to state their cases? Surely openness would benefit both sides in getting the truth out.
