California To Wal-Mart: Enough! No More Taxpayer Subsidized Profits For You

But I don't see any reason not to tax uber profitable multi-nationals who refuse to provide healthcare as a benefit to pay for employee healthcare. There's the thread of why the gop is dead to kids. Here's the answer again. The gop views the govt as having no biz in solving a problem in society: low wages and people not having employer sponsored healthcare. Good luck selling that message.
Maybe because there's no right to have your medical expenses paid by a third party?

You people (-: are all about "rights." Society has a right to regulate commerce and provide for the general welfare. Get the fk over it. You lost.

"Regulating commerce and provid(ing) for the general welfare." still doesn't grant any right to have your bills paid by someone else.

Get the fuck over yourself.

Wrong. "Society" has no rights whatsoever. society is an abstraction, not a living thing with rights or obligations.

Soooo, the OP wants to end welfare, but only for employee's that work for wall-mart? Do I understand this correctly?

Lets just get rid of welfare as a whole as the OP points out a great example of the corruption and abuse steeling money from one group of people to simply buy votes from another, along with displaying the unsustainable of doing that.

No it does not. Reading welfare as paying for peoples lives is a disgusting interpretation of the constitution and even the FF's said it was wrong to do so.

So Repubs when giving a choice between subsidizing business and not. They chose to subsidize. Then complains about the people who are being subsidized. Then demonize the people are being subsidized while ignoring the company that is making a MINT from your tax dollars.

Repubs are a strange bunch. They would stand in front of Walmart to yell at the employees for being on Welfare but not the company that employs them so little that they have to be on welfare while that company is making stupid cash.

It's always the little guy with the repubs....

The business is not "subsidized" as there is no payment to the company from the government.

Every time anyone even suggests so much as trying to make handout programs more efficient, lolberal bedwetters like you go fucking nuts, demonizing every such proposition as pushing granny over a cliff.

Strange bunch indeed....Hack.

Prove it.

Sweeet...In their never-ending brain dead jihad against Wally World, the lolberal nitwits in Sacremento are going to make everyone part-time employees.

That'll help everyone better afford everything, including medical care!

I actually have plenty of complaints about Wal-Mart and corporate welfare. But this, of course, completely misses the point. Wal-Mart takes advantage of corrupt government by bargaining for tax breaks and infrastructure freebies. But of course the corporatist idiots don't even notice that.

While that may well indeed be true, Wally World is nowhere near the biggest employer of entry-level workers, which idiotic laws like the one being floated end up screwing over in the name of the liberoidal jihad against Wal-Mart.

1968's min wage would be $11 today...and this is for all companies like Walmart, the greedy heartless swine. lol... like greedy idiot megarich Pubs and hater dupes.

Where on Earth did you learn this little absurdity? Lemme guess... public school?

So all the righties are here to defend paying more in taxes for Wal-Mart. Interesting

No man.. I'm here to tell you that the leftist whimps running Cali are using a shitty excuse to pummel Walmart.. Part time workers can't afford healthcare. I'm shocked. I'm into 6 figgures a year and I'm about to drop health insurance because I can't afford it!!!!

Do you get the message? The problem isn't part-time workers at WalMart. THe problem is having the govt determining reimbursements and designing minimum insurance policies and the number of bad actors between the patient and the provider.

Why doesn't Cali RAISE their minimum wage instead? Because it would REDUCE their revenues, and it wouldn't solve the problem and they KNOW IT.. But it's convienient to blame Walmart for not paying their workers more, even if they KNOW --- that wouldn't fix the insurance issue.

Leftists like you can't find their way out of a public restroom without a trail of breadcrumbs. You're whining about shit that just doesn't make sense because you have some silly vendetta against a store that SERVES THE INTERESTS of the poor you want to help..

Thanks Marty, you add so much to this convo
