Cairo in Madison, Wisconson

I recommend everyone watch CNN's stock footage of the protesters inside the WI capitol rotunda. Look for the american flag they have hung upside down from the balcony. Very nice.

...fucking union pukes.

After years of being told by conservatives that they want smaller, less intrusive gov't that doesn't try to impose its will on the people, we finally have clear evidence that conservatives really don't have any problem at all with gov't signing away the hard fought for rights of its citizens.

Those hard fought rights come with a price, literally, that states can no longer afford.
Old chinese proverb, "No tickee, no laundry".
What the Dems want to do is throw the austerity responsibility onto the Repubs to score political points, but meanwhile, Rome continues to financially burn.

Actually, teachers are easy to replace in this economy. NYC is laying off 4600 of them. They could easily replace the teachers in Wisconsin.

Then they should do so....go for the lowest bidders on education.

Catholic Schools do with non-union teachers. And they produce better results then their union public school brethren. Go figure?

Catholic Schools get to pick and choose their clientele instead of taking everyone in a district regardless of ability and or desire. Go figure.

There's a less draconian solution. Renegotiate!

Yeah. Your 2 cents added to my 2 cents still leaves us both broke. What about unsustainable do you not understand?

If they do renogotiate, what will make the union happy. Does anybody know what the union wants exactly?

The people spoke in November, these moonbats have done nothing but disrupt the democratic process and dipshits like you applaud them....

Now dumb fuck, remember the tactic of 'NO'? You are not only getting it back in spades, you have a whole bunch of citizens up in arms enough that they are filling the state capital there three days in a row so far.

So you Repukes don't like all those teachers, fireman, policemen, and other state workers? I suggest that they and workers who sympathize with them just stay off the job for a couple of weeks. See how the Governor likes that effect on the state.

I concur. I hear frequently that anyone....ANYONE...can do the jobs that teachers do and even better. Now is their time to try that out. I say let the Gov. go for it. Replace the teachers. Replace the nurses. Replace the firemen. Replace the policemen...offer less pay and fewer benefits. Maybe some of the loudest talking members on this forum can take him up the job offers.

Can either one of you tell me how many Republicans decided to sneak away during the Obamacare vote?

They denied the GOP the necessary quorum call which was required in order to pass the legislation. That tactic gave the citizens of Madison the opportunity to express their constitutionally protected right to publicly protest the proposed legislation and get news coverage of their peaceful protest.

It's people power, baby!!!

A lot more protested against healthcare than this crap, but no republicans went off to play hide and seek and if they had, i wouldn't support that action. You and your ilk on the other hand........ :eusa_whistle:

Why none of course.

Hell the sweetheart Union deals were probably made by Dems in the past in return for Union support come election time. Payback at its best.

We all know the Unions support the DNC big time. What was it they contributed to OL'BO's campaign?? 60 million or so??

The Gov should send the police out to round their asses up and bring em to the State House to vote.

Walker's budget plan would strip the collective bargaining rights of public employees and force them to pay more for benefits, in an effort to cut Wisconsin's budget deficit of $137 million. He threatened to call the national guard to fill the duties of state workers if they were to protest or walk out.

Fascist.

What's the first thing Hitler went after?

Unions.

I think you mean Jews

The Unions will blow so much money between now and 2012 fighting state cuts, that they won't have much left to put behind Obama in his next run.
And this is a good thing.

Exactly. They were elected with the assumption that they would fulfill their duties. They are wilfully not doing them. I would start running advertisements against them. Get the people calling up their office and demanding they get back to work.

When the going gets tough, the democratics turn tail and run....

No, they form mobs composed of Democrats, Liberals, Anarchists, and Marxist, they then proceed to burn and destroy private property.

The Democrat politicians run. The rest of them do form mobs.

Im amazed how people seem to think mob rule is a good thing. It's terrorism pure and simple. They are trying to incite fear in the populous to get their way.

The first thing Hitler did was to listen to the people in the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NAZI) that held the power behind the scenes, then Hitler attacked his political opponents. Just like Obama is doing.

It think you're confusing these peaceful protesters with talk radio hosts like Hannity, Levin, Limbaugh, and Beck.
