But why?

Yo, that is the reason! Obama could care less about Religious Beliefs, if it is American, but Muslim? He believes fully in that! We are standing up for America! You believe in America? Then you will stand up to this Socialist belief!!

I'm failing to see the logic of how shedding blood will suddenly make it right...

You seem to be looking for an excuse to disparage the movement based on a solitary instance.
Like I said, it isn't one solitary instance.
It feels a lot like those who talk about soldiers returning from Viet Nam being spit upon, as if they were a regular occurrence instead of isolated instances.
Yeah, well, it isn't one solitary instance. You can beat someone, or vandalize their church, douse them with water or what have you. You are the one trying to make the excuses here.
I'm not making any excuses. I'm pointing out how you're grasping at anything to disparage a whole group. You seem to be trying to appear reasonable while harboring resentment over something that isn't your business, i.e. whom someone loves and wants to marry. Nothing's going to happen to my marriage or your marriage on account of this and a big swing in American opinion on this point has occurred because they realize they've been lied to on this point.

Tea party protesters accused of spitting on lawmaker using slurs

Most on the Right who reacted to the above story did so by denying it ever happened. The RW propaganda machine went to great lengths to try to show that it never happened.

Go back in time and bitch at yourself and/or all your pals on the Right.

At 1.02 of the video you can see it...............
But this is exactly what the Black Caucus wanted.............There is an underground tunnel...........they did not need to walk through the crowds.....................

They were hoping for something like this..........IT WAS THEIR PURPOSE............

They then ramped it up to racial slurs, and threats..................all I hear is KILL THE BILL............

Back in the day I didn't think they spit............and back in the day I was wrong.........as they used different video's that didn't show the spit...............but it did occur..................

Now with that said...........the left deny it happened to the priest...............and make fun of religion as they always do.

I find myself having difficulty supporting gay rights at times like this. I feel empathy for a member of my faith, not for the plight of gays, when I hear of them doing things like that to a man of God.

Why would you use the actions of one gay guy to decide for you whether gays should have equal rights?

Have you rejected Christianity because of the multitude of sex crimes committed by men of the cloth?
