Bradley Manning Trial In Military Court

Just for the record, lets go over the Georginess, of today's wingnuts:

The CIA supported the Shah and Saddam, in the 1950s, the Israelis bomb Saddam's nuclear facilities in 1981, so GHW Bush knew all that, by the time he wussed out, on the road to Basra, to let Saddam stay in power.

GHW Bush then tells the Iraqis to revolt, they do it, since GHW was chumping the Iraqis, in preparation, for chimping them, with his kid. The occupying UN and US forces just watch, as Saddam purges Shiites, Kurds, Madan Arabs, and the rest. GHW daddy just swings his chain, with Dick Cheney. Saddam stays in power.

GW Bush was planning, to go to Afghanistan, before 9/11, but after 9/11, he engages a lying Iraqi informant, per Operation Curveball, so GW and Dick Cheney lie and lie and lie, including to Congress, even though the CIA by this time tells the truth, to GW, how Saddam has no more WMDs.

GW and Cheney justify a bloody invasion and torture, with their lies.

And then along comes George Zimmerman. He lies, about bushes, where there weren't any, except GZ jerking like he's GW or Cheney, but he didn't identify himself, when he went after Trayvon Martin and shot the kid dead, in cold blood, sitting on him, while Martin bled out.

All kinds of wingpunks jerk chain-ee over this, since GZ is a George, not Washington.

It seems crime pays, if you are a George-wingpunk, in office. GZ fucked up, since he was just playing cop, not actually being one. If you are a REAL COP, you have a uni and a badge, to ID you, to subjects.

Get real, wingpunks. Bradley Manning is a whistleblower, not a perp. See the difference, fascists?

So, I get the picture that, no exceptions:

Openly posting the information to a "world-wide-web" fits that definition.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/30/us/30wikileaks.html?_r=1

In a shift of tactics that has alarmed American officials, the antisecrecy organization WikiLeaks has published on the Web nearly 134,000 leaked diplomatic cables in recent days, more than six times the total disclosed publicly since the posting of the leaked State Department documents began last November.

A sampling of the documents showed that the newly published cables included the names of some people who had spoken confidentially to American diplomats and whose identities were marked in the cables with the warning “strictly protect.”

State Department officials and human rights activists have been concerned that such diplomatic sources, including activists, journalists and academics in authoritarian countries, could face reprisals, including dismissal from their jobs, prosecution or violence.

Since late 2010, The New York Times and several other news organizations have had access to more than 250,000 State Department cables originally obtained by WikiLeaks, citing them in news articles and publishing a relatively small number of cables deemed newsworthy. But The Times and other publications that had access to the documents removed the names of people judged vulnerable to retaliation.

Taliban hunt Wikileaks outed Afghan informers - Channel 4 News
Exclusive: The Taliban has issued a chilling warning to Afghans, alleged in secret US military files leaked on the internet to have worked as informers for the Nato-led coalition, telling Channel 4 News "US spies" will be hunted down and punished.

Speaking by telephone from an undisclosed location, Zabihullah Mujahid told Channel 4 News that the insurgent group will investigate the named individuals before deciding on their fate.

"We are studying the report," he said, confirming that the insurgent group already has access to the 92,000 intelligence documents and field reports.

"We knew about the spies and people who collaborate with US forces. We will investigate through our own secret service whether the people mentioned are really spies working for the US. If they are US spies, then we know how to punish them."
Assange and Manning are complicit in any deaths that result.

Sorry, my sources are this: American intelligence alerted several White Houses on that Saddam was committing acts of terror in his own country throughout his 25 years. That's why when he was at war with Iran our administrations decided against helping Hussein except for some intellectual exchanges in mathematics, arts, and science did continue under a long-term agreement our government has always given to third world and other countries with whom we have a modicum of diplomatic relations. Our educators had no idea some of their knowledge exchanges would be subverted to poison the Kurds. To the best of my knowledge, we stopped "helping" other countries in ways that could be used to undermine or exterminate enemies of the country we "helped".

You need to get ahold of yourself and let go of some of your bad information. I stay informed and have for a lifetime. You can't fool me with hubris, and I won't let you get away with it, either.
Your sources are some kind of downlow clowns. You and your sources have cartoon-ostrich syndrome, since real ostriches don't stick their heads, into the ground, to hide what is going on, above.

Your sources are incomplete, and you rant, you quote yourself, and you refuse to look at the biggest picture. You are unsuitable, to government service. In fact, the Reagan Administration gave US sat intel to the Iranians, to allow them to attack and to fire more effectively, on Iraqi positions.

Yeah, Saddam gassed Kurds. He killed Shiites. He killed Madan Arabs. And what did the CIA think would happen, when they supported Sunni murderer Saddam, in 1958? And what did your fucktard GHW Bush think would happen, when he wussed out, after Basra, and then he told the Iraqis to revolt, and they did, without US help? You snotty geek! Tell me about how people died, bimbo.

What in the world do you think is happening, in Bahrain, where the king is a minority Sunni tyrant, killing majority Shiites, with the 5th Fleet based there? Or didn't you see the Navy, when you went out, to see the world? You are completely deaf, dumb, and blind. Read some of your old posts. You are a discredit, to the US.

It's no wonder this PUSSY has Rep disabled

:fu:

I have a growing suspicion that people like this poster and others like him are PAID to derail thoughtful discussion on Message Boards. I have heard that such people are hired to do that to make sure no grass roots opinion gains any momentum that would attract the attention of an otherwise indifferent media.

I am beginning to think such suspicions are more and more credible because I honestly don't believe there are people who are so uninformed or so indoctrinated with so much skewed information without that being quite intentional.

The Bradley Manning case deserves a thorough understanding and a good discussion. And I would like for our more intelligent and thoughtful members to not take the bait from the trolls who come in to derail that.

It's possible he's being paid, but I think more likely he's a politcal hack as well as a misanthropic jerk. Good advice though - ignore the BS.

The reason I think it could be an organized effort is the similarity in the deconstructed content used and the repetitiive nature of it from message board to message board. The same code words. The same methods and subject matter to used to derail a discussion from week to week. You may be right that it is pure coincidence and just jerks chiming in to make a mess, but I am seriously wondering.

From the above link:

Manning is accused of leaking hundreds of thousands of sensitive items including Iraq and Afghanistan war logs, but supporters say he made important information available to the public.

Daniel Ellsberg, who revealed the secret U.S. expansion of the Vietnam War by leaking the Pentagon Papers 40 years ago and has been an outspoken supporter of Manning, was scheduled to speak, but he missed a flight and could not attend, said Jeff Paterson, a rally organizer.
Why don't people wait until after the facts come out in the trial before they throw their hat in the ring?

Should Americans remain silent when the government may do harm to it's citizens?

I'm surprised at you, bigreb. That's the first comment you've posted, which makes it look like Gomer and Goober's test-tube baby crawled off, to Kentuck, rather than NC. Andy G., R.I.P. Dave, DDD!

It is harm to citizens when terrorists in Afghanistan pick off American allies from a list they found thanks to Wikileaks. Not to worry. They got a bunch of names and started the murders. They're all gone, Bigreb. That's what I heard going around in good source circles. The military can't disclose names. I just left it at that. My Dad was military and CIA in WWII and the Cold War. He said he'd go to his grave with secrets he had no intention of telling. He's been gone over 20 years. He never said nada.

Bradley supporters are just looking for a good conspiracy theory to make themselves big names in the anti-government hardliners. I am truly sorry Manning took it upon himself to sneak around behind his superiors' backs and tell the world's biggest blabbermouth our secrets. Idiots are smarter than that.

A whistleblower provides evidence of misconduct, including waste, fraud, abuse, conspiracy, murder, obstruction, and more.

Provide any evidence at all, to prove Manning and Assange are anything but busy whistleblowers, getting fucked over, by busy fascists, who break procedural law, to enable violations, of substantive rights.

So far, any evidence which came in shows dirty deeds get done, at horrendous expense, and then additional costs accrue.

So far, any evidence which comes in shows how black Obamney imitates Republicans, including white Obamney, his administration gets legal requests, but he doesn't comply, since he also copies Nixon, who ordered a "stonewall," to oppose the Watergate investigation.

Show how you wingpunk trashers are doing anything but a witch-hunt, now that some of you are tired, with posting flat-earth shit, over at environment threads.

The Childish Defense of Bradley Manning

Army Pfc. Bradley Manning has confessed to providing military and diplomatic secrets to WikiLeaks, pleading guilty to 10 criminal counts for what he once braggingly—and erroneously—called “the largest data spillage in American history.” In fact, what Manning perpetrated was the purposeful, premeditated and arguably treasonous publication of stolen national-security secrets. This was not a leak or a spill.

It pays to recall that this poster-child hero of the anti-war left gave U.S. military and diplomatic secrets to an anarchist group. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange openly admits that he wants to “bring down many administrations that rely on concealing reality—including the U.S. administration.” Likewise, Manning once boasted about “worldwide anarchy in CSV format,” a reference to the kind of files he surrendered to Assange.

Over the years, Assange and his anarchists have published operations manuals for the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay; classified reports on the Battle of Fallujah; detailed information on U.S. military equipment, by unit, in Iraq; gun-camera footage of a U.S. helicopter attack in Baghdad; a U.S. Special Forces manual for bolstering allied governments; CIA strategies to shore up public support among allied populations for the war in Afghanistan; Social Security numbers of U.S. military personnel; and private diplomatic exchanges.

...

In other words, WikiLeaks, whether unintentionally or purposely, puts the United States and its allies at a disadvantage. Some will say this has always been true of democratic governments vis-à-vis their dictatorial foes. But timing is everything. And WikiLeaks is shrinking the amount of time between policy formation, policy execution and public airing—and thus shrinking the shadows where American foreign and defense policy can work.

The Childish Defense of Bradley Manning
Bradley Manning reported a war crime, which was the right thing to do.

Bradley said he was frustrated by his inability to convince his chain of command to investigate the Collateral Murder video and other “war porn” documented in the files he provided to WikiLeaks. “I was disturbed by the response to injured children.” Bradley was bothered by the soldiers depicted in the video who “seemed to not value human life by referring to [their targets] as ‘dead bastards.’” People trying to rescue the wounded were also fired upon and killed. A U.S. tank drove over one body, cutting the man in half. The actions of American soldiers shown in that video amount to war crimes under the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit targeting civilians, preventing the rescue of the wounded, and defacing dead bodies.
Anyone who has seen that Collateral Murder video and thinks it's okay to shoot un-armed civilians standing in the street, is an anti-American asshole who should renounce his citizenship.
