Some arrived a couple of generations ago, impoverished, and set up little businesses, and their became middle class. They did it, often despite enduring terrible loss due to bigotry, by 1) getting married before children, and 2) emphasizing higher education.

Nope. We’ll never hear the end of it. Presidential campaigns will come down to who offers to raise the reparations to blacks, using whites’ money, and 13% of the population will become the focus.
