Why single out LA? "If you're black, you don't want to be on the street, unless you want to draw the heat."
-B Dylan

How is it bullshit when it has been proven over and over and over again.
Your assumptions are not proof. The biggest difference is a lot of blacks make excuses for blacks being arrested, while very few whites excuse whites, or anyone, for being arrested. If you are guilty, you should do the time. Just because there were more injustices in blacks being incarcerated in the PAST, does not make it so now, and there is zero proof.

Actually we have been complaining since we got to these shores about the unjust Justice System that black folks have to deal with. You commit the most crimes and are given probation and parole while black men are locked up for the same crime.
More assumptions. Not apples to apples. Not all judges will be the same, some dole out harsher sentences. It’s very probable that those who do get lengthier sentences are repeat offenders. You can’t possibly know every detail related to every arrest.

A new analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data released this week by L.A. City Controller Kenneth Mejia shows that Latino and Black people were arrested at a "disproportionate rate" between 2019 to 2022.

Black people, who make up 8% of the county’s population, accounted for 27% of all arrests; and Latinos, who account for almost half (48%) of the Los Angeles County, made up 51% of all arrests.

Both demographics, when combined, make up 56% of the county's population and yet totaled more than two-thirds of all arrests at 78.26%, according to the report. White people, which make up 29% of the county, ranked third in the total number of arrests at 16%.

This is just a snap shot of the injustice that folks of color suffer all over America.

Watch all the excuses that come from the racist, right wing republicans.
It’s those darn Republicans who run LA that are behind this!

So the LAPD, which is a majority minority, overseen by a majority minority City Counsel and a minority Police Chief is racist.

Why do you believe everything should be proportionate to race? Some races overachieve in some areas and underachieve in others.

Yes, it's obvious not nearly enough blacks and latinos have been arrested; the murder and crime rates are still way too high. Over 50 killed in Chicago over the weekend, alone. Time to back the cattle trailers up to the streets there and herd them in. Put them on a reservation somewhere, preferably in Africa.

Every credible study of criminal behavior, and especially those studies that focus on ad hominem crime (homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, etc.) concludes that Blacks and Hispanics commit those crimes at rates far, far higher than the minority "white" folks in California/America. The Black homicide rate is over FOUR TIMES the "white" homicide rate.

Yes. Far too many black thugs still out there. running free in the streets.

The cops on the street obviously have the mindset of the sheet wearers.
LA has one of the highest percentage of minority police officers of any large city in the United States, Super. Rather than admit that...you're going to accuse them of being Klan members and say THAT is why more blacks and Hispanics get arrested in LA?

As someone who has lived in both majority black & latino areas of LA in the past & with strong family ties to the city, I can tell you the reason why that is...is they are almost all gang members. How active they are varies, but it is almost mandatory to join the neighborhood gang in places like South Central & East LA, like a rite of passage. Around 12 is usually when they get jumped in, they call it "jumping off the porch"..often are forced to commit crimes to stay in good standing.
