Black conservative tea party backers take heat

Oh, so the Tea Party is going to have some black people working for them, helping them try to force the government out of any involvement in anything that might help the economically disadvantaged in this country,

a disproportionate number of whom happen to be black.

That is elegantly repugnant.

You know how to help the economically disadvantaged? Get them jobs! Taxing companies to the brink and allowing illegal aliens to steal jobs is not a good way to help the economically disdvantaged Americans!

And your magic wand tells you those jobs are....where?

Democrat Party is the party of the minorities because of its social programs. Poor = Social; Social = Poor.

I don't think you'll make it into the next version of Bartlett's. That doesn't even make any sense.

Definitions of social (adj)
so·cial [ sṓshəl ]
relating to society: relating to human society and how it is organized
Are you human?

relating to interaction of people: relating to the way in which people in groups behave and interact
Do you have family, friends, co-workers?

living in a community: living or preferring to live as part of a community or colony rather than alone
Or perhaps you communicate only by a computer or other tech gadget and live in a second city?

Southern Democrats a/k/a Dixicrats. They do not exist anymore. Those who held to those values ^ are now Republicans.

I'm not sure where you live, but I'm guessing it's not the south. The south is still majority Democratic. They may vote Republican at the Federal level, but at the state level the Democrats are very much entrenched and control everything. Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, and North Carolina all have Democrat controlled legislatures and they have been that way since Reconstruction. Tennessee's just flipped in 2008 to Republican for the first time. There have been very few Republican governors in any state down here. The shift to the GOP has been a recent event, mostly in the last 15 years.

The metamorphosis from Dixiecrat to Republican is another myth the left likes to tell.

You read your history and I'll read mine. I lived in Pass Christian, Mississippi, from January 1964 through October 1967, so I was THERE when the Civil Rights Bill was passed. I was THERE when all those pretend compassionate Republicans grumbled and moaned that they would have to share public spaces with 'darkies' who always "knew their place" before, so why'd we need a law?

No Child Left Behind has been reinvented to place more emphasis on student performance, not test results

??????????????????????????????????????

So just showing up for class is good performance???.If you want a license to perform any professional service you take a TEST,you want to drive a car,you take a test.Testing is and will remain a vital part of education.

What it really says is I don't need to be accountable, just look and sound good.

WTF does your example have to do with school? :cuckoo:

It's been the democratic party, (President Johnson) in particular that are responsible for the DESTRUCTION of the black family. The Democrats robbed black families of any and all incentive and personal responsibility, by putting entire neighborhoods on a government hand-out ( Welfare). Thereby, eliminating the need for the black man to stay in the family to support them financially and emotionally.

Abe Lincoln was a Republican and fought to free the slaves.

More REPUBLICANS voted for the civil rights act than did democrats.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an independent voter who voted REPUBLICAN.

Senator Byrd- Democrat- was a card carrying member of the KKK.

Black people are getting on to the Democratic party and more will join the tea party movement, especially when you liberal democrats keep calling the tea party racists, you spark their curiousity and then they find out the truth---- and when they do, they will join with the tea party movement.:clap2::clap2:

I wonder if they know they're in a movement where the following is the mainstream...

Setup and a forgery probably by an SEIU thug.

Yeah right. If they thought they could get away with it, some would be saying the same thing on C-Span's call in program. And they do try! But get as far as fucking ______ or ******, and they get cut off. Are you kidding? If you want, I can send you a link via PM to where you'll see that kind of talk in thousands of posts.
And you never question it? Of course not, you are sure you know how the other side thinks and talks. Send me your link in a PM.

This would happen today? MLK's father was a republican....think he would be one now?

Get serious with your examples. Hoiw many new right wing hate groups popped up in the last two years?

seriously, just stop with that kkk dem crap. You and I both know that would not be the way it is now.
Correction: both MLK and his father were Republicans. Since the left controls the MSM why would anyone be surprised that "hate" groups pop up on the right? (unsurprisingly they never, never, pop up on the Left; cause by definition they can't be hate groups; fancy that !!)

EDIT: MLK's family is still Republican. It's because they are so much more historically aware than you, Zona, that they've made that sensible choice.

I don't know why you (collectively) continue to try to prove that there is no more hatred coming from the right as there was from the left. The numbers and the news reports simply say otherwise. I don't think anyone denies that over the years there have been issue-oriented hate groups who protested loudly and crudely, but this past year has seen an enormous increase in the type of group that fully hope to engage in civil war.

Militant and hate group Internet use grows: report - International Business Times

I've already answered this question several times but maybe I was too subtle. Thank you for the opportunity to express it again: There is a tendency by the MSM to report any apparent instances from the right but ignore them from the left, therefore it seems to be wholly from the right. Since you live with that filter and it favors your opinion or point of view, of course you would see it that way.

Odd though, that out in the great unwashed masses, even with the bias we are all afflicted with from the MSM, that opinion is not held by the majority. That's why Liberals only hold a 19% demo while Conservatives hold a 39% demo.

An indication that you are in that form of denial is exhibited by the fact that all liberal information media are shrinking, while conservative ones are growing. The WSJ now has so many subscribers in my rural area that instead of using USPS for daily on-time-delivery direct delivery is now being used.

One more thing; isn't it funny that the left constantly cries that their politicians aren't verbally tough enough, or don't really take it to the Republicans? How strange is that when all we see from the left is assaultive language and angry rhetoric?

NCLB should be completely repealed because the Federal government has no Constitutional authority to be involved in education in the first place.

The welfare nanny state.

That has no meaning. It's just a worn-out cliche that's way past its sell-by date.

Of course it has a meaning and you know exactly what it is.

Which is why she wants to retire the phrase.

When libs don't like to be reminded of something, or when they don't want people to see what they are doing, they either proclaim the language which exposes them as obsolete, racist, or stupid.

It's out of Saul Palinski's book. The one Bobama thinks is a bible.

So is having more children than a poor black woman can handle, or want (and thus more welfare claimants) preferable to abortion? How about community action which requires a lot of hard work by non-politicians? How many people are willing to jump in and try to establish community parenting centers or youth centers?

Why do all of your solutions involve pawning off the responsibility on to somebody else? That's exactly the problem with our society today. How about the responsibility of the potential mother not getting pregnant in the first place?

Black illiteracy has become a genetic problem, transcended through generation after generation of being pushed to the back of the bus (figuratively)..

That is not a genetic problem. Sickle cell anemia is a genetic problem. Down Syndrome is a genetic problem. Illiteracy is the result of bad parenting and apparently the millions we're throwing away on public schooling is real effective too.

 In the 1960s, nobody was a Republican in Mississippi or virtually anywhere in the south.

There's probably something wrong if you have to go:

"LOOK! We got black people running as candidates too!"

However, running as candidates does not = winning. Look at the numbers history of the number of Republicans as senators and house of representatives who were African American.

Seriously though, just because your movement has some African Americans running as candidates, doesn't excuse the underlying racism that is seeping from parts of it. Though some people in this thread for example rather ignore the fringe part of the movement because they only see votes instead of things such as principles.

Let me get this straight...did Maggie Mae just say blacks are genetically stupid??

I believe she did!

Time for a new thread! Just when you think a lib can't get any more stupid....

They're all saying, "LOOK! We got black people running as candidates too!" because they're sick and tired of ass clown socialists telling them they're racists. Of course, you already knew that.

Though some people in this thread for example rather ignore the fringe part of the movement because they only see votes instead of things such as principles.

The only underlying racism is in your head. There have only been a handful of people out of the hundreds of thousands of people that have participated in the tea parties that have espoused racist garbage, but you already know that too.

Using your logic, I can conclude the following:

Barack Obama loves the new health care bill.

Fidel Castro praised the new health care bill.

Fidel Castro is a Communist.

Therefore, Barack Obama is also a Communist.

Yeah, it's astounding what you find out when so called "liberals" have a Freudian slip.
