Biden’s oil & gas leasing ban ruled unlawful by federal judge

All he is doing is helping out the capitalist pigs of the petroleum industry.

My royalty payments have sucked since oil was under forty dollars a barrels for too long.

Domestic producers just may pump themselves into bannkruptcy.

can you livestream the celebration you throw for your commie buddies when they do?

They have done it before and its no laughing matter. Why would you celebrate?
It happened during Reagan, my old Papa lost his shirt when Conoco folded after Reagan deregulated oil.
Oil went down to $10/bbl under Reagan. How is that bad for consumers?

It causes the collapse of domestic producers.
You means the ones who are screwing consumers? Good. I thought you woke morons believed oil companies are evil.

I love oil companies.. Isn't that crystal clear by now?

When are you going to throw out virtually everything you use, all is made from or processed using petroleum. You can start with throwing out your compute and cell phone.

.
.

Uh, hey ... Who said there was anything wrong with being a capitalist pig.
Beats the fuck out of struggling and starving ... OINK!

.

Yep, I'm up big on my investments, in guess what, EV charging. If they're going to blow a ton of money on it, I'll get my share of it.

Crystal Oil folded here back in the 80's and they learned their lesson.
They were also intertwined in everything, banks started folding, the owned a lot of buildings and property.

It damn near crushed everything.

.
I remember it well it was tough during Reagan, why he single handedly ruined many people...

Recovering from the Jimmy Carter disaster was a long road.

Ronny saved us.
Carter made us bite the bullet and RayGun hooked us on cheap Saudi oil and collapsed the US Exploration industry for years.

That's not what happened at all. Go back to the mid 1950s.. The US couldn't compete. See Texas Railroad Commission.

There is a way a person can balance capitalism and good stewardship at the same time.
I am not suggesting that is what everyone does, just making the point that things can be done properly.

Its wasn't Jimmy Carter's disaster. It was Nixons.
Whenever a Dim president turns out to be a disaster, the woke turds go back to a previous administration to place the blame.
Right now there is no energy crisis or shortage of oil.
Then why did the price of gas double?
It did double from April 2020 to December 2020 probably because of production cuts and increased demand and the refineries that were idled during 2020 because of the pandemic are not coming back online.
It doubled after Jan 2021, moron.
No it hasn't. It is slightly up from the 2019 pre-pandemic price.

Sure, but a world without petroleum, gas and coal are just pipe dreams. They are all required for a modern society.

True that Nixon contributed a lot to the recession problem, however Carter was a weak President to deal with it.

Sweetie ... I know how liquid they are, and when they will cap a well ... :auiqs.jpg:

I have an detailed report sitting right next to me on the desk I am sitting at with every move they are making in it.
They are required by law to send it to me.

I know where the next 5 wells are going, when they will be operational, and they are nowhere near my property.

The article I posted was written by a Petroleum Geologist, the Illegal Biden EO was exposed by the Judge.

Biden’s oil lease ban lifted by federal judge
By JENNIFER A. DLOUHY AND ROBERT BURNSON on 6/16/2021
WASHINGTON (Bloomberg) –A federal judge lifted the Biden administration’s temporary ban on new oil and gas leases on public lands and offshore waters.
In a victory for 13 states that filed the legal challenge in Louisiana, U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty granted a preliminary injunction Tuesday blocking President Joe Biden’s Jan. 27 executive order while the litigation continues.

=======

The possible appeal will be a waste of time since Biden using EO was overturning Congressional law.
"...the White House had neglected to provide a required comment period and bypassed other bureaucratic steps. Doughty wrote......"

So basically they can if they go through the proper steps? Is that what the Judge ruled?

NO,

Here is a comment written by a Lawyer who read the entire ruling:

"I read the judge’s PI order. Very solid.
In a nutshell, the judge said Congress wrote the fed lands O&G leasing law, laying out the procedures to be followed. They did NOT give the President the right to halt that process even temporarily—especially on grounds inimitable to the reasons Congress permitted federal O&G leasing in the first place.
Very solid opinion. Will withstand appeal. Another example of Biden over-reach."

The very next comment:

"It’s so solid, DOI said it would immediately comply. I was really expecting a very quick contempt of court ruling because the last time this sort of ruling happened (Macondo), the Fed’s ignored it."

Of course fossil fuels will be with us a for some time to come.
I was talking about capitalism and stewardship by the person, and not through societal or government controls.

A lot of things are just a dream until you make them a reality where you are standing.
I understand the difference between trying to fix the world, and ensuring everything I have control over is in good order.

Everybody has an opinion. "It’s not a new tactic: Democratic states like California sued the Trump administration dozens of times, and Texas frequently sued former President Barack Obama."

Fossil fuels are running out.
Somewhere between 100 and 500 years worth.
I don't think solar or wind are going to cut it, so then we are likely going to have to go nuclear or bio fuel.

Since fossil fuels are only going to last between 100 and 500 years, we have to think about when we want to sell the small amount the US has?
Do we want to sell them now, when prices are lowest, or hold onto them until prices are highest?

That's what they said in the 70's. Since then I think we have nearly triple the worlds proven reserves. I think we'll be choking from our own fumes before we run out of oil.

You are absolutely correct it is all about land management and resource allocation.
What do you actually have control over, and what can you accomplish
without having to send it through Congress and making it someone else's responsibility?
