When the young realize that the issue was geography and not party in 1964 (that GOP senators and reps in higher percentages in the South voted against the CRA than the dems) and the vote in the North and West of the two parties was pretty much the same, the students will say, "Wutt the fuck are those far right racists up to?" The millennials already know you are lying.

Actually, as in all things you are wrong...the issue was new racism and private property rights, two provisions in the 1964 civil rights act that kept libertarian and small government Republicans from voting for it.....so your lie about who voted for it will now start to crumble.....

The 1964 civil rights act had the provision for affirmative action in it...that is discrimination based on race, which non racists wanted to make sure was never established, and government mandating that private businesses had to bow down to government in who they served or didn't serve.....a private property issue...which Republicans saw the future of....just ask the bakers who are now out of business because of public accomodation laws...

The Republicans who supported the other two civil rights acts saw the 1964 act as going too far........it created new racism in affirmative action, and violated the principals of private property.......

It wasn't racism that kept them from voting for it, but a belief in liberty and equality........

And why did those republicans...who voted for the first 2 civil rights acts vote against the 1964 civil rights act...because they supported liberty and equality...

1) they were against affirmative action....which would mandate discrimination based on race....

2) They were against the public accommodation laws which, as we have seen with bakers, pizza makers, photographers...., would violate the rights of private property owners...

The democrats who voted againt the 1964 civil rights act...did so because they were racists........
