CDZ Better Speaker....Nancy Pelosi or John Boehner?

What's amusing about Winger's "ode to Nancy" is that she lost the Speaker's job because the American people voted so many of her fellow Democrats out of office because they didn't like the legislation that San Fran Nan was passing. Voting for legislation that Pelosi backed was a one way ticket out of Washington, DC for a record number of Democrats!

She never had to face an attempted mutiny like Boehner did. I'm not sure how a speaker can even function when so many of his own party hates him.

Dude, Pelosi had to strong-arm moderate Blue Dog Democrats into supporting her progressive agenda...something they didn't want to do but Pelosi and Obama bullied them into. Those Blue Dog Democrats by and large ALL lost reelections because they went along with their "leaders" and Pelosi ended up losing the Speaker's job as well.

She was a forceful and effective speaker. Boehner isn't.

O'Neal and Gingrich were effective. Pelosi had huge Democratic majorities and STILL had to scramble to pass the Affordable Care Act. That's not forceful and effective...that's ineffective! Reality is she's going to be known for making one of the stupidest remarks EVER by a sitting Speaker of the House when she told America that we have to pass ObamaCare before we know what's IN ObamaCare! That's going to be her legacy.

Just because a few disgruntled right wingers don't appreciate what Pelosi has done for the country doesn't diminish the good she has done. The best that can be said for Boehner is that he survived a coup by his own membership

Not sure about lasting impact, but Gingrich did leave us that iconic "Crying Baby" magazine cover. That's something.

Did you sleep through the Clinton Presidency? Gingrich was one of the main reasons that Slick Willie was able to turn his first term around and get a second one. Without Gingrich's Contract With America getting spending controlled Clinton would have just been one more tax and spend liberal.

As for O'Neal? He's the second longest serving Speaker of the House...holding the position for 5 consecutive terms. I may not agree with the man's politics but he did the job and did it well.

Nancy Pelosi is such a lightweight compared to either of them that your string declaring her the best ever is laughable.

Like Boehner, Gingrich's only accomplishment was shutting down the Government

I sense a lack of accomplishments

Since you lack sense so badly, Winger...I guess any sense you get is a step in the right direction!

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid cobbled together the ACA behind closed doors...lied to the American people about what it would cost and lied about how it would affect the average American's healthcare.

Nancy Pelosi oversaw the stimulus and managed to blow over 800 billion dollars and create so few jobs that the Obama Administration and the Democrats had to come up with a new economic statistic..."jobs created or saved" to hide how abysmal their record of job creation really was!

I'm sorry but calling Pelosi the best Speaker is a joke. If you look up the word "Ditz" in the dictionary there is a picture on Nancy Pelosi trying to explain an issue.

And that's an NBC anchor roasting Pelosi...God help her if she went on a network that wasn't so far to the left.

Piglousi IS the undisputed BETTER SPEAKER.... who else could have possibly said this and NOT A SINGLE NEWS REPORTER called her out on such OUTRAGEOUS shit.... You decide for yourself, If "BONER" had said this, the MSM would have gone ballistic! Front page for at least 3 weeks!!!....What was that about THE MOST TRANSPARENT ADMINISTRATION IN HISTORY???? Hard to believe that there are so many FUCKED UP PEOPLE in this country...but then, just look at the OP!!

What is wrong with what she said?

At the time, she was correct

The end result was the best piece of legislation in a generation. Pelosi got things done....a truly Great Speaker
