A good advise:
Be vigilant when you have Lithuanians in your neighborhood and timely call police
According to the Lithuanian Police Criminal Bureau, there are currently hundreds of Lithuanian criminals operating in European countries.
They are most active in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands. Law enforcement agencies in Austria and Belgium also have problems with them. According to Aldzhej Roginski, deputy head of the bureau, the main activities of Lithuanian criminals - smuggling and drug trafficking, as well as crimes related to property - burglary, robbery of jewelry stores. Synthetic drugs are most often supplied to Scandinavian countries, especially they are popular in Norway. Drugs can be sold here several times, and sometimes several dozen times more expensive than in their home countries. As for thieves and robbers, which are already known to Lithuanian police, they try to dissolve in EU countries, where the local police do not yet know them.
In this regard, the issue of mutual assistance of the countries is topical, but it is not easy to do so, as the Lithuanian police force is not numerous. "Therefore, it is necessary to select only the most dangerous criminals. Although it is not easy. Which group should be considered more dangerous? The one that has about 70 drug distribution points in the Vilnius district, or the one that in Kaunas, in the middle of the day, carries out a shootout, or the one that supplies drugs to Russia from South America via Lithuania," says Roginsky.
According to him, not every group is organized crime, the understanding of this term in Lithuania and other European countries is different.
And although hundreds of criminals have gone abroad from Lithuania, most of them are thieves.. One of the most serious, which acted at the international level, is the Aguarkinis gang, recently liquidated by the police. This gang, among other things, distributed large quantities of drugs abroad. At first 6 main gangsters of the group were arrested, later several dozens of people were charged.
According to the deputy head of the criminal bureau, criminals from Lithuania operate there more often, there are Lithuanian emigrants. According to the police, criminals from the Taurag region have "occupied" Germany, while Panevėžys - Scandinavian countries.
According to Roginski, Lithuanian bandits are a serious headache for the police in European countries, in Norway they make up the majority of foreigners behind bars.
