A record number of homicides were committed this weekend in Baltimore.
28 people were shot, nine were killed over the Memorial Day Weekend.

At least 33 have been killed in Baltimore this month.

So where are the protesters.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake had this to say,

“It’s disheartening. We’ve come too far to have this kind of setback.”

What is she talking about?

The violence continues — as the number of shootings continues to grow and two more people killed over Memorial Day weekend in the city.

Baltimore police reported eight shootings overnight, two of which were fatal — making the tally for the weekend in Baltimore 26 shootings, 9 fatal.

They say the police are no longer being "proactive", and they are staying out of many of the neighborhoods.

They can't win, they're blamed if they are aggressive, and blamed if they stay away.

Probably that's really an overall tendency but I think such a crime limp in Baltimore is due to recent civilian unrest over there because I don't remember anything alike happened there the last year.
