Hello,

So now 02.15AM and the end at 01.15AM from 00.55AM I have been distracted on rescue mission of baby birds outside on floor fall from nest, I think approx 4 I do not know, I only notice them when the cat got one and bring it to me in it's mouth. I can not allow it to get the others the cat following me around as knows other baby birds are around, I have rescued 4 baby birds as of now, it's dark no where to put them so have them in a big container with air holes in this for the night and then when sun arrive I will see if I can get them up a tree to safety.

Update:

I have them all 4 of them all now in the big container, so cute they sit next to each other looking at me! Not first time I have rescued baby birds a few years ago in the day I rescue about 6 baby birds and this during torrential rain. I get small branch from tree and in care let them know to put tiny feet on branch and they did then I transport individual baby bird on to higher up branch on a big tree and you know they all stay in the garden after that I would see them every day but not baby birds then but adult birds.

We are on this earth to protect precious creatures who can not yet protect themselves.

I can not allow precious cute creatures to be harmed. I will some time tell you about how I rescue 6 baby bunny rabbits in Irving, Texas with white cottonball thing on their asses, so cute, this when I was in Texas for 6 months but one day this I observe the baby bunny rabbits in a difficult situation and I rescue all of them to safety.

Winner winner chick.... uh wait, I'll stop there.

We are on this earth to protect precious creatures who can not yet protect themselves. Amen and huzzah. I believe in Ahimsa.

I get very cross when my cat chases birds and let him know that is not cool. Good on you Oosie.

Yes I tell the cat as the rescue mission occur I tell him to GTFO. Mr. Oosie now home and has transported baby birds into our specially constructed outdoor bar this not outdoor in the open but a seperate constructed building with a flatscreen TV and everything. So he says nice and warm in there for the baby birds for the night and he is going to give them water and feed them with tiny crawling things he just got from tree branches. Mr. Oosie love the precious creatures also.

Feed them wet dog food with a metal nail file.
The smaller the box, the warmer they'll be. I'm sure it's colder there than here.. keep them warm.

Okay hold on our rescue Beagle puppy now assist also, the dog food and I have metal nail files so I go and get one and give these things to Mr. Lucy. Yes cold now as it's middle of the night.

When I was first moving into this house (2007) I came across a small terrier dog wandering a lonely country road. Obviously tired, hungry, hair matted -- as far as it was from a town I have to think its owner abandoned it there.

I stopped and coaxed her into my car and took her back to my mother's house where we fed the dog some of my mother's cat food and water. Looked around in the local paper and postings to see if anyone was looking for a dog, found nothing. The local shelter in that town was overburdened and understaffed and they were known to "destroy" animals they couldn't deal with so that was not going to happen. :nono:

So I put her back in the car and drove 700 miles/1150 km to here, where she spent the night with me in a house that wasn't yet suitable for habitation, then I took her to the rescue center here which is very good and is a "no-kill" facility. They cleaned her up the rest of the way, got her into good health and identified her as a Daisy Dinmont Terrier and put her on their website for adoption.

I still volunteer for that shelter to this day to help them operate. The lady who started it, recently deceased at age 100, began the operation when she called the town and asked them what they do about stray cats. "We come out and shoot 'em" said the sheriff. That was unacceptable and the rescue center was born. It's a fine operation.

Baby Bird Situation Update.

Okay so they all had excellent night in our outdoor bar, in box big enough to keep them warm. They have dog food and water. Sunday AM Mr. Lucy up big tree transport the baby birds to safety in the tree, he already in another tree locate a bird nest not sure IF the SAME one baby birds fell out of but this birds nest not that big BUT it is big enough to put those four baby birds asses in and we hope Mama bird find them now. So we save the four baby birds, care for them during night and now all safe in a birds nest in the tree. Excellent :)
