Auto sales up 10.3% in 2011

This is funny. Could you guys make up your minds? Cons dismissing growth in auto sales. Increased auto sales means more cars are manufactured, which means more jobs, which means more money in people's pockets, which means more money is being spent on goods and services - all of which is good for the economy. You know, the economy - the single most important issue to the vast majority of Americans. But now it's bad or insignificant simply because Obama is the POTUS. Of course, we all know what you hacks would be saying auto sales slumped.

Any kind of good economic news is the last thing the petty assholes want to hear.
And to whom do you people give the credit? Why Obama of course.
Yes, just yesterday I saw the president at a suburban Washington DC Ford dealer, walking through the lot selling cars.
Never mind that auto sales were at historic lows. So much so that thousands of dealerships closed as a result of government interference in the auto marketplace.
So if Obam is the great creator of auto sales, how do you people answer to the 57 mile per gallon mandate? The insistent policy of the Obama regime to cut the US off from it's own natural resources?
Once again, liberals never let the facts stand in the way of a good story.

Before you put on that cute skirt and grab that baton to start the cheerleading chant with Barry's Babes for the auto industry you might want to drive through Detroit. The unemployment rate for Motor City is around 50%.

A growing number of auto sales is a GOOD thing.
You people want to heap praise all over Obama for the rise in sales.
His policies have ZERO to do with it.

Come on. He's the POTUS. Everything - good or bad - that happens on his watch is attributed to his policies by both sides. You know very well that if auto sales were down, the right would be laying it at his feet.

Auto sales are up because interest rates are so low, all cash for klunkers did was raise the price of good used cars to the consumer and dealers either give great deals on new cars or go bankrupt.

The rw's won't admit it but President Obama didn't save ONLY the jobs directly associated with manufacturing. What is never counted in the 3 MILLION + jobs he has created and/or saved are those associated with keeping our cars on the road..

Thank you Mr. President.

Um. No.

Michigan Unemployment Rate Falls To 9.8%, Detroit Metro Area Still 11.2% Jobless

The Detroit-Warren-Livonia Metropolitan Statistical Area's (MSA) jobless rate in remained high last month at 11.2 percent, but was almost a full percentage point drop from October.

And I didn't even have to drive through Detroit!

When Bush was standing in Congress, screaming "CHARGE IT!" at the top of his lungs, the rw's all said that the potus's powers are very limited.

Now that President Obama is working FOR the working class, they say the POTUS is omnipotent and can do anything.

If a pub gets in (gawd help us), they'll be blaming President Obama for everything that Bush did.

SSDD.

No, no, no. You're doing it all wrong. Get with the program.

Auto sales are up because of Democratic social engineering. They are making banks give auto loans to negroes.

Weren't you at the talking points spin meeting?

What has Obama done for the working class people?
Other than steal the hubcaps off my car.

This is the result of subsidizing new car sales with cash for clunkers and then destroying all the used cars. Less used to choose is more new sales.

I am a realist.
Obama's policies, not the man himself created the poor economy which resulted in the non availability of credit which crushed auto sales.
That auto sales have improved, Obama has enacted NO policy of the kind.
How are you so wrong on this.....I am quick to remind all that during the second Clinton admin when the economy was booming, that because Clinton heeded the advice of his economic advisers and kept government OUT of the economy. In hindsight, Smart move.

Great observation..
I have a friend in the auto auction business.
He tells me that cars going through his line on auction day are selling for about 30% more than this time in 2010.
I also have seen news reports stating the used car market is seeing fewer buyers due to the increased prices. Also incentives, rebates and low or no interest loans influence buyers to look for new cars.

What? Obama's policies lead to the poor economy? The recession started in 2007. Things got really bad in late 2008. Note that this was before Obama took office. Since Obama's policies began to take effect, the economy has improved - not tremendously - but it has improved. If you're a realist, then you know that those are the facts. So, tell me again, how did Obama's policies create the poor economy?
