No, "everything" isn't a disease. However, some things ARE a disease. And, there are a lot diseases we now know about such as West Nile, Rocky mountain spotted fever, etc that we didn't KNOW were diseases so I am sure those people were fluffed off as crazy.
 
Yes, when I grew up, nobody thought there were pedophiles lurking in every corner. IT's a different time. And, if you send your kids out to play by themselves, then you get arrested.

Yes that's true. But, I still wasn't going to send my daughter out to play alone. That isn't the only issue. Part of it, is that nobody is home anymore. There are tons of kids roaming neighborhoods anymore. There were houses I could run to as a kid and there would be somebody there. Childhood has changed in many ways not for the better. I am fortunate I live in a small town so I think it is a bit more accessible for my kids than for my sister who lives in a large city.
