Coming as no surprise, what the left touches, turns to disaster.

As a result of a 'victory' of sorts for the retrograde left, defunding the police was trendy and pushed hard by leftists. It was all fun and games to be trendy until the results force a confrontation with reality.

A portion of the Texas city was left without a single police officer for a couple of hours in February

Fraternal Order of Police Vice President Joe Gamaldi said council members who voted to defund the police, including now-U.S. House Rep. Greg Casar, D-Texas, don't "give a damn about the people in Austin."

Yeah. Trendy.

Perhaps they can hire some of the "newcomers" that are staying in Texas? Just try to avoid the cartel members if possible.

I have long heard that Austin is very "liberal" because of a university located there.

So I am guessing that when Americans hear about the horrible crime there, they lack any sympathy for those "liberals."

They made their bed; now lie in it.

That 2020 Tweet is outstanding. It perfectly illustrates the failure of left wing policies.

These are dumb ass communists.

Yes, and thanks for saying "liberals" in quotes.

As a former Democrat they finally revealed themselves in 2020 to be entirely illiberal through and through.

And that's putting it very nicely.

Austin is beautiful.

Do you not understand that a Ruling Elite lauding over high crime, poverty and misery ARE THE END GOALS of the democrat party???

There seems to be a peculiar confluence of leftist ideology and societal decline.

Homelessness, drug use, people wandering naked along 6th street….Austin, Tx.

6th street is the main entertainment strip in Austin…just full of squalor.

Austin….come for the music and comedy, stay for the meth and REI COOP TENTS!

And the democrat Party retains power only because they are allowed to cheat at election time
