The US forces killed more than 100,000 Iraqi civilians mainly by aerial bombardment during the Iraq invasion started in March 2003, according to a study in British medical journal The Lancet.
The exact figure of the war victims, however, is uncountable and remains a mystery. Besides mass killing the US occupation forces killed several prominent scientists, medical professionals, and other academics during the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq.
More shockingly, over 250 Muslim academics and professors were assassinated, and many others were just disappeared. “Assassins are targeting Iraqi university professors in a coordinated, liquidation process to force well-known scholars to leave the country and thus hinder the country’s reconstruction,” said Issam al-Rawi, geologist at Baghdad University and head of the Association of University Lecturers.

A report reveals that thousands of Iraqi scholars have been assassinated by Israel’s Mossad spy agency in collaboration with CIA agents since the occupation of Iraq.
According to the report published by a British magazine, since 2003 over 5,500 scholars have been killed by CIA-Mossad agents in Iraq.
The report added that Mossad has formed secret terror groups to kill Iraqi scientists, intellectuals, researchers and physicians as well as nuclear and chemical experts.

Israel is constantly seeking to weaken Arab countries on the scientific, technological and intellectual levels. It does this for the purpose of imposing its domination on them after it has failed through lies, in the past decades, to establish itself as the strongest, developed and most destructive state in the region.
Consequently it obstructs any Arab attempt to achieve development in the nuclear field by assassinating Arab scientists and specialists in the nuclear field.
After the US invasion in 2003, Mossad, the national intelligence agency of Israel, launched a massive campaign to eliminate Iraqi scientists in order to end the dream of Iraq becoming a developed nation. According to a British study, Iraq has the largest number of scientists in the world in relation to its population.
Not only did Israel target Iraqi scientists but it also assassinated a large number of Arab scientists. In 1952 the Egyptian atomic research scientist, Sameera Mousa, was assassinated in the US. The Egyptian atomic scientist, Yehya Al Mashad, was killed in 1980 in Paris, the Egyptian microwave scientist, Sayed Bdeer, was eliminated in his house in Alexandria in 1989 and the Egyptian atomic scientist, Sameer Najeeb, was killed in Detroit in 1967.
Israel also exerted pressure on developed western countries to bar Arab students from joining certain specialized institutions. Some countries prevent students from the third world from studying atomic and missile sciences.

Assassinations of Iraq academics in Iraq never existed prior to April 2003. Persistent Israeli hit squads against Iraqi scientists had been active in Iraq since April 2003, but the latest chapter was uncovered on Tuesday, 14 June 2005 by the Palestine Information Center which, citing a report compiled by the United States Department of State and intended for the American President, stated that Israeli and foreign agents sent by Mossad, in cooperation with United States, to Iraq, killed at least 350 Iraqi scientists and more than 200 university professors and academic personalities .
According to the report, which was referred to the U.S. president George W. Bush, Mossad agents had been operating in Iraq with the aim of liquidating Iraqi nuclear and biology scientists, among other scientists, and prominent university professors.
That was after the U.S. failed to persuade those scientists to cooperate with or work for it.
