As Go Tunisia and Egypt, So Goes US?

Hey,maybe people shouldn't count on Government to make or break them? How bout it? That's why Socialism/Communism doesn't work in the end. You can't always sit around whining & complaining about the Government keeping you down. You instead have to get up off your couch and go get it for yourself. Relying on the Government for everything only breeds resentment & failure in the end. This is why our nation needs to stay away from more Socialism. We should be promoting self-reliance instead. If you're sitting around waiting for a Government to make you a success, you're surely doomed to failure. Governments are often quite corrupt & inefficient. So don't hold your breath waiting for them to save you. Do you want to be a Loser or a Winner? The choice really is yours. Don't leave it up to Government to decide.
Maybe Wall Street should stop counting on government to make or break them? Have you noticed there are two sets of rules in this world? One for the rich, and another for the rest.

Maybe government should simply tax the rich instead of borrowing from them?

And start filling US prisons with the richest 1% of thieves, speculators and other assorted psychopaths.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Republicans OR Democrats to hold the rich to the same standards as the rest of humanity.

Solution: Get rich yourself. Don't rely on Government to save you. You don't have to be a Loser who begs for scraps from the Government. Get out there and become a Winner. Governments are most often corrupt and inefficient. So don't count on them to decide your fate. That's the big problem with Socialism/Communism. It forces Citizens to rely on the Government for everything. Citizens become slaves begging their Master for handouts. Self-Reliance really is the answer in the end. People need to stop blaming and begging their Government for everything. You want to be a Winner? Get out there and make it happen. Don't blame the Government for all your failures and stop begging for scraps. More Government in your life is not the answer. Take control of your own life and become a Winner. Good luck and God Bless. :eusa_pray:
For thousands of years all governments have served the rich by socializing cost and privatizing profit for a select few.

Mubarak and a few other rich generals offer recent examples.

Unless you're calling for an end to government the only practical solution is to use government to socialize exorbitant profit taking by the richest 1% of Americans over the past four decades.

By putting more money in the pockets of working Americans:

"The most direct way to get more money into their pockets is to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit (a wage subsidy) all the way up through people earning $50,000, and reduce their income taxes to zero.

"Taxes on incomes between $50,000 and $90,000 should be cut to 10 percent; between $90,000 and $150,000 to 20 percent; between $150,000 and $250,000 to 30 percent.

"And exempt the first $20,000 of income from payroll taxes.

"Make up the revenues by increasing taxes on incomes between $250,000 to $500,000 to 40 percent; between $500,000 and $5 million, to 50 percent; between $5 million and $15 million, to 60 percent; and anything over $15 million, to 70 percent.

"And raise the ceiling on the portion of income subject to payroll taxes to $500,000."

Once retired they wipe up by serving on boards of directors and such.

So what?
Right?!!
Just more class envy from the red-rep queen.

Here's some more class envy for slaves like you to ponder:

"The best way to revive the economy is not to cut the federal deficit right now. It’s to put more money into the pockets of average working families.

"Not until they start spending again big time will companies begin to hire again big time.

"Don’t cut the government services they rely on – college loans, home heating oil, community services, and the rest. State and local budget cuts are already causing enough pain.

Run that by the Koch brothers the next time you see them.

Is President Obama going to give the same enthusiastic support for the demonstators in Jordan, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia? His community organizer skills will be greatly appreciated in the Middle East to form the new governments to his liking.. (and throw everyone under the bus).
Saudi seems like a real stretch.

I don't think there's the same degree of mass support for change in the Kingdom that we saw in Tunisia and Egypt and currently observe in Iran.

Even if millions of Saudis began demonstrating against their government, I don't believe the Empire could or would indulge that revolution.

That really could Change Everything faster than anyone could anticipate.
if iran can stir the pot, it will. as america evacs from the middle east, iran will definately fill the void in the countries america evacs from.... they (the iranians) will export revolution to saudi arabia...
Do you believe the Shi'a could divide the Kingdom?

"While Shia make up only between 8-15% of Saudi Arabia's population, they form a large portion of the residents of the eastern province of Hasa — by some estimates a majority[136] — where much of the petroleum industry is based.

"Between 500,000 and a million Shia live there,[137] concentrated especially around the oases of Qatif and Al-Hasa. The Majority of Saudi Shia belong to the sect of the Twelvers."

My heros are calling for prosecutions and taxes.

What about yours?

"RALPH NADER

Let's start with a fairness point. Why should you pay a 5 to 6 percent sales tax for buying the necessities of life, when tomorrow, some speculator on Wall Street can buy $100 million worth of Exxon derivatives and not pay one penny in sales tax?"
