Not surprised you didn't like it - you wouldn't like anything that he said no matter what. The thing is Trump is not a standard candidate and giving standard political speeches wins him exactly nothing at all. Doing so would be moronic. His popularity is centered around the fact that he is not a politician and that he talks to people almost like they are standing around the water cooler rather than making political speeches. Will that be enough to take the election - highly doubtful but trying to out Hillary Hillary would be pointless and certainly would not help him win.

Ultimately I don't see much difference between his stream of consciousness in speech form and other politicians blathering on long 'policy' speeches that ultimately do not contain anything of substance.
