Why do you want to divide people according to their income instead of treating them all the same?

I'm not demonizing anyone. I mentioned the 1% because I understand why they vote republican. I certainly don't have anything against the wealthy class. I just don't think they should be the focus of policy.

Republicans don't want you to make an honest living. They want to reward the wealthy and ensure that all of the profits of your labour flow to the wealthy. That's why they resist raising the minimum wage and prefer that low incomes be supplemented by handouts.

It's Republican policy to keep wages at the lowest possible levels so business owners can keep more of their profits while wages are subsidized by taxpayers.

And then distract you from this corporate welfare with gay marriage, abortion, and welfare queens so you don't notice what they're doing.

Actually my percentage is off. According to census figures that came out in the past few days, 10% of Americans are prospering. The remaining 90% are losing ground and the 60% in the middle are losing the most ground.

The myth of free stuff, is another Republican lie. People don't vote Democrat for free stuff, they vote Democrat because they're smart enough to know that the Republicans will just make things worse.

The percentage of non-working adults is high right now for the same reason as in the 70's: Baby Boomers.

In the 70's they were still in school, and now they're retiring.

The rich use our infrastructure(Roll big trucks over it), police, business environment and some even use what comes from tax dollar investment into r&d and science too develop the product that they sell. Think about it...why shouldn't they pay more? They use more.
