You sure wouldn't know it by the results of their policies. Incomes have dropped twice as fast during the "recovery" as they did in the recession. This makes Obama's performance during a recovery actually worse than Bush's during a recession. Another first for this white house.
Incomes Have Dropped Twice as Much During the 'Recovery' as During the Recession | The Weekly Standard

New estimates derived from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey by Sentier Research indicate that the real (inflation-adjusted) median annual household income in America has fallen by 4.4 percent during the "recovery," after having fallen by 1.8 during the recession. During the recession, the median American household income fell by $1,002 (from $55,480 to $54,478). During the recovery—that is, from the officially defined end of the recession (in June 2009) to the most recent month for which figures are available (June 2013)—the median American household income has fallen by $2,380 (from $54,478 to $52,098). So the typical American household is making almost $2,400 less per year (in constant 2013 dollars) than it was four years ago, when the Obama "recovery" began.

No, they are not and never have been.

They plan to always ride on the backs of middle class to enrich more and more affluend democratic plantators of XXI century while invoking hatred of racial, religious, gender and class warfare in those who they actually despise for their stupidity, but skillfully use as one can and will the disposable useful idiots, who get a bone of government handout and will sell their soul for it

Of course the left does NOT support the hard-working 'middle class'.....

for example....Obama's attacks on 'the rich' are also attacks on the 'middle class'....or else why would he define someone making $250k as being 'rich'.....?

today a teacher and a police officer married couple could be making a $250k income....that's as middle class as you can get.....especially in the more expensive metro areas...

heck... someone making $500k today is simply an upper middle class success....probably a successful entrepreneur who owns his own business and has worked hard all his life to attain the American dream...

people who are successes are people who support the U.S. Constitution...they are against oppressive taxes and miles of red tape that hinder small businesses...of course the lefties hate such people...and they drum up hatred toward these hard-working Americans...

lefties are all for destroying the American dream.....under them everybody will become equally poor...except for the ruling elite of course....

So Democrats are FOR the rich now? Is that the new talking point? What happened to Democrats hating "the evil rich"?

Or are you suggesting democrats are against the rich AND the middle class?

Please define todays faux-outrage.

you don't get it......Obama and his quisling minions are the ones creating the faux-outrage....

Americans have never been boxed into "classes".......instead they have been free to move up and down the economic scale according to their efforts....

BO and the lefties are the ones creating the roadblocks to American success....heck today a child cannot even put up a lemonade stand without the lefties getting their panties in a twist...

So Obama is putting up roadblocks for the middle class AND the rich?

Is that correct?

lol. Democrats have always been for the rich. Why do you think the rich support them so much?

See, the rich already have their money. That's why they support Democrat policies which keep people from working hard and obtaining money of their own which they can then turn around and use to threaten the power of those who already have money.

The progressive income tax doesn't hurt the rich. It hurts the people who can become rich through their hard work and sacrifice i.e. the poor and middle class and that uppitty new rich.

How is it you are so blind to what's so freaking obvious. Do you think George Soros funds the Democrats because he gives a damn about the middle class? Seriously???

This is not false outrage. Our nation is becoming an oligarchy, and toadies like you fellows are cheering for it. Increase the taxes on the working poor and the middle class, decrease them on the wealthy.

Time for a 25% to 35% tax on unearned wealth, a 50% inheritance tax on liquid assets above one million dollars, and the 6.2% that I pay into SS to apply on all income.

That will enable the return of the middle class. That, and the return of unions.

You will never see a return of the Unions.

It's almost as if you wake up each day and create an entirely new opinion on things. One day, the "Democrats hate "the evil rich" and are creating class warfare by suggesting tax increases on the top brackets" and now today you are claiming that the democrats have "always been for the rich".

I know you are not one to use your brain for rational thought and critical assessment but this gaping hole in consistency is stunning even for a non-thinker such as yourself.

Yep, union membership is now declining. As are the wages for the average American worker. And, when the American Worker finally realizes where his interests are at, we will see a couple more Blair Mountain and Ludlow incidents as the very wealthy once again resort to the thugs to keep the American worker in a subserviant position.

we conservatives are NOT cheering for an oligarchy.....by supporting Obama YOU are actually the ones supporting an oligarchy of sorts....because of BO's taxation and numbing regulations that inhibit middle class business growth...they can't afford the pricey lawyers that the big corporations can afford....

the rich will always find a way to get around the rules and regulations and taxes.....just look at how BO rewards his pet projects and rich companies......simply put BO is a corporatist with his own agenda...any socialist fascist wants to control the reins of industry....and he is taking over them step-by-step.....the obvious one is the health industry....but he is also after the banking industry.....the food industry....the transportation industry.....etc.....everything BO is doing is hampering the little business guy....

Somebody had to be for the middle class. We know Republicans only want to stomp them.

As I previously linked to, under Bush and the Republicans, manufacturing dropped every single year. More than 40,000 factories closed. When you have a political party doing that much damage to the country, the turn a round will be very slow. Fortunately, during the last two years, manufacturing has seem some small growth. But Republicans are fighting to stop the developing trends. Looks like they might win.
Their disaster during Bush was all about greed, now it's about race.

Glad to know you never actually read what I write or think this is somehow new. Glad to know you are incapable of understanding that the tactic to use class warfare is a smokescreen the left uses to defend the elite rich. Because clearly all those really really really wealth people on the left just hate the rich so much.

Elected Democrats never hated the rich, it was the idiot voters.... The oddity is how the Democrat voters managed to elected incredibly rich Democrats, who claimed they would raise taxes on the rich, only to lower them, sometimes to 0%.

Elected Democrats understand the game, give people free shit then take that majority and turn it on the minority (the 1%) to help buy votes. The reason we can't have so many welfare programs is because we can't afford them, not because the middle class and the rich don't pay taxes.

you're the one spewing nonsense....since the recession we are still short 2 million manufacturing jobs...

all you have to do is ask the manufacturers themselves what they need to succeed....this is what they will tell you they want...

--tax reform
--reduce trade barriers
--reduce burdensome regulations

all of the above sounds like the Republican platform to me.....

I realize from past threads you aren't very bright. The thread is about Democratic policies that have savaged the middle class, leading to loss of income mroe severe than the recession that the left always blames Bush for.
How can the Democrats have any credibility about being for the middle class when their policies have been disasterous for the middle class?
Similarly, how can they have any credibility about being for blacks when their policies have been disasterous for blacks?
Please explain why anyone should believe Obama and the Democrats on this issue.
