"No" to a balanced budget:cuckoo:
"No" to spending limits:eusa_eh:
"No" to a deal on deficit reduction:doubt:
"No" to strict standards for tax increases:eusa_liar:
"No" to fiscal responsibility:eusa_shhh:

We have a comprehensive solution to the national debt sitting on Harry Reid's desk right now, and the only thing it's doing is gathering dust.

or are they wait for this to happen?

A socialist economy is the one in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the workers. The ownership can be in the form of trade unions or cooperatives or through the state itself. In today's times, socialism refers to a political system where ownership and control of means of production lies with the people as a whole or with the state, with lots of emphasis on central planning, by the state. Communism, another social system, evolved from socialism.

The democrat lead senate hasn't come up with a plan or a budget of their own for over 800 days now. That's since Barack Obama walked into the oval office. All of the heavy lifting has been done by the House. Albeit--that Nancy Pelosi went on an unprecedented spending spree--with no hurdles what-so-ever--the senate has been on vacation.

The ONLY bill that has passed the house is the Cut-Cap--and Balance bill coming out of the house--to avoid default on August 2nd. This raises the debt ceiling to pay the current bills--but restructures how the Federal Government spends money in the future--and eventually leads to the Federal Government having to balance their checkbook--just like American households and state governments do.

Barack Obama has already stated he will VETO this bill--Harry Reid doesn't have a plan--and the gang of 6--hasn't even got a plan on paper yet. These people are a total JOKE. None of them have the POLITICAL COURAGE--to grab this bull by the horns and get it in line--before it's too late. So they just sit back and bash the only plan that has been approved by the house.

$1 billion dollars.jpg

one billion dollars--$100.00 bills stacked on palets

$trillion dollars.jpg

one trillion dollars--$100.00 bills stacked on palets--NOTE: how small the man is in this chart.

If serious CUTS are not made--we need 79 of the trillion dollar chart. 14.3 trillion in red ink now with another 64 trillion in unfunded liabilities--due to baby boomers now entering social security and medicare. This all results in $534,000.00 per household debt in America.

Currently the Federal Government is borrowing .46 cents on every dollar it spends.

Call your senators TODAY--and tell them to vote for the CUT--CAP AND BALANCE bill in order to stay out of default.

No brains...no clue...no class.

Yup, that's the Dems alright.

Golly - everything I read in the papers and see on the news says that it is the Republican House members who are stalling the debt ceiling decision. Am I incorrect there?

Socialism is government control and management over everything. For instance--France has actors on the government payroll.

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."Winston Churchill

"The problem with socialism is that government eventually runs out of other peoples money to spend"--Margaret Thatcher.

They passed the Cut--Cap and Balance bill two days to avoid the August 2nd default. It's in the senate now. Harry Reid threatened to filibuster this bill--but it looks like they are going to vote on it tomorrow--and Obama has already stated he will VETO this bill.

Some might say it's the Dems who are stalling by insisting on raising taxes, and some are insisting that no changes be made to entitlements. Obama himself has taken ObamaCare and high speed rail off the table, so why are repubs the only ones taking flack for being uncompromising?

I do know that the repubs are the only ones with a plan, which they passed in the House. Why hasn't Obama or the Dems put out anything with details that can be scored by the CBO? All I see them doing so far is pointing fingers at the repubs and demagoguing their ideas instead of coming up with one of their own.

Obama hasn't come to grips with the fact that there is NO MORE money--and would never compromise on Obamacare or high speed rail. Obama is a spending addict--like no President before him. He talks the talk--but won't walk the walk. He lacks the POLITICAL COURAGE to actually make even a small attempt to stem this run away spending and deficit.
