Are babies bad for the environment?

Everybody believes in selective breeding, whether they admit it or not. Every time a woman chooses to involve herself with the healthier or more attractive of two or more men. she is selecting him for his superior form. Whenever a man chooses the more attractive or desirable of two women for sexual relations, he is selecting her for her perceived superiority. This process is inherent in all sexually reproducing animals and is key to survival. Every person, if given the choice, would have their partner possess certain physical traits that they find attractive. This is selective breeding, a conscious action based upon the instinctual drive to have one's progeny possess the best or most desirable physical traits in order to maximize fitness. It is also the very heart of positive eugenics.

The problem (often overlooked or ignored): over population.

The solution (non-partisan): defending the right to say "no" and encouraging personal responsibility for breeding.

Simple.

Eugenics mandated by the state is a synonym for genocide. Pure and simple.

But you know that. That's why you're always carping about who should be "allowed" to breed, and how much better off we'd be if certain ppl would just die.

Poor Allie. You made a stupid comment, were shown wrong, saw that pretty much everyone believes in selective breeding...

and now you have no intelligent response. This seems to be a recurring theme when you decide to try to act like you know what you're talking about and go after JB :eusa_eh:

.

Interestingly, the regions with high population densities seem to oft be surrounded with expanses of territories with relatively little habitation.

Food and air production needs a lot of space as well.
Food production does take a lot. I find that the problem is less the population density itself and more the problems that go along with it: problems with sanitation, easy communication of disease, logistic concerns. We we could built up -building truly multi-tiered cites- many problems would be alleviated. Such a fantastic concept, however, remains far beyond the realm of feasibility.

Now you just sound like a seriously diminished capacity, slightly younger, version of Shogun.

This is why people like to ignore the fact that the whole planet is over populated. Sanitation is part of that problem, it has also created a huge number of weakened members of our species. But meh, I digress because I know, like the others, you will not see the logic or connection.

The planet is over-populated in YOUR eyes. In my eyes, it's just fine. I don't see the earth caving under the pressure, or imploding.

Are babies bad for the environment.

If you want your environment to smell vaguely like baby shit and talcum powder, and you want that environment to be occassionally punctuated with nerve shattering crying sometimes that goes on for hours, they're ideal for the environment.

well libs just kill em anyway so they should not be allowed to have em.

you are beyond fucking stupid

"Having one fewer child would reduce a family's climate burden 20 times more than driving a fuel-efficient car or using energy-saving appliances, according to this statistical analysis. That doesn't seem to be stopping anyone in developed countries like the U.S. New research published in Nature this week shows that birth rates in the most developed countries are rising again."

Are Babies Bad for the Environment? : Scientific American Podcast

I would bet that the birthrate rise in developed countries is due to Immigrants having babies, mostly illegal immigrants having multiple babies. Thats how it is in my neighborhood.

Actually, moron, the Earth copuld support all of us with no problem if it weren't for the distribution of resources and populations. Don't make me take you to task again.

Seriously? For someone who supposedly knows a lot about science, you know even less about the ecology than a creationist. The sad part is, they have a valid excuse for not understanding it.

Right. How 'bout this KK:

Present evidence that it is impossible to grow enough food and/or there is not enough potable water to sustain the current world population if distribution and logistics were overcome.

Until then, stfu and lying and trolling,. You've never been able top back up a single thing you have ever said and you already made a fool of yourself last night.

You do realize that our forests are being destroyed just so they can ... where does O2 come from? What cleans our air naturally? Small picture people like you are the reason nothing ever gets better.

So they can what?

where does O2 come from?

Try Googling that.
