Wouldn‘t the approval of school vouchers, allowing parents to choose an appropriate school for their children, force the School Board to somewhat moderate their attacks on parents, and, more importantly, ratchet down on the CRT wokeness crap they are pushing down their kids’ throats?

Think about it. Affluent parents can already put their kids in private, but the lower-middle class (the biggest segment of the population) are stuck with their kids in public. They can’t afford otherwise. If school officials knew that their unpopular attitudes and instruction were driving away their “customers,” wouldn’t they have to moderate somewhat in order to sell their product?

W had the chance with GOP house and senate

And instead partnered with teddy Kennedy to flush $1 trillion down the public education rathole....

Big spending Zionist 911 w "Biden republicans" support left wing homos in public schools raping your kids.

Still call w a "conservative?"

What do you do when all the parents want to use the vouchers to go to the same school?

They’ll have to pick other private schools. And of course, in a couple of years we will have more private schools to meet the new demand.

Those remaining in public school will be those whose parents want them brainwashed to believe the leftist nonsense. I do feel sorry for those kids, but at least we can save more.

Why do you assume that all who go to public school end up being Democrats? Where is your source on that?

Just an open attempt to eliminate public school education

Free Public education is what made this country great

No.

Few parents know who their kids teachers are.

Far fewer have a clue how to teach kids.

The net result of vouchers will be dumber kids.

Zionist fascists want all unchosen forced into left wing homo controlled public schools

She has a graduate degree. Let that sink in for a moment.

She is a SUB

Public schools push CRT and have homo public education "employees" rape America's kids

Public education - how homos reproduce

FEWER HOMOS voting in the future

Because the public schools are clearly far to the left, the president of the education association is an extreme leftist, and we see that reflected in the curriculum.

The only people NOT objecting to all of that are also far-left Democrats. They will be happy to keep their kids in the public schools.

But you didn’t address the premise of the thread: if more conservative and moderate parents are upset with the New Education and start pulling their kids out en masse, wouldn’t that force - or encourage - the leftists running the public schools to ramp it down in order to keep their “customers“?

The reason they have gotten away with it this far is that there is no alternative for most parents. Competition is a good thing.

How would that eliminate it?

And public education WAS what made this country great - in the last century, where the focus was on math, history, geography, civics, writing, etc. The New Education is all the fake social justice nonsense, with kids barely knowing basic academics, and is bringing this country down.

I need a source for all of this to think about it. Thanks.

No. If you want to send you kid to a private or charter school, you pay for it.
Vouchers are just a time honored conservative way to trying to defund and kneecap public education.

My question is this:

Why take money away from places that need it to put it into places that do not need it, to people who do not need it? Why make it more difficult for those who cannot afford to go to school, to be able to go to school?

How does one know that the schools in Democratic States are not doing as well and therefore should have some of that money/vouchers, routed to a private school instead?

How well are Republican State schools public schools doing?

So far, the only things I have found about vouchers are these:

What are US school vouchers?

School vouchers are education tax dollars that are diverted from public schools to help subsidize the tuition of private and religious schools. Although some states and cities have limited voucher programs, the only federally funded program is in Washington, D.C.

What is the argument against school vouchers?

No matter how you look at it, vouchers undermine strong public education and student opportunity. They take scarce funding from public schools—which serve 90 percent of students—and give it to private schools—institutions that are not accountable to taxpayers.
